Description
An akita inu, enjoying a nice array of sushi. For a quad, he is very deft with those hashi (chopsticks).Done with inks and acrylics on 9"x12" illustration board.

Back in 2006, I made a big mistake of not identifying a strange green wad on my plate next to my sushi. I ate the whole thing.
A gentleman politely, but sternly announced to me, "Careful man, that's Wasabi."
I soon learned a harsh lesson, with a type of throat pain equivalent to a person spraying an entire can of Lysol in my mouth.
I no longer like Wasabi to this date.

I'm very sensitive to anything spicy - luckily I've avoided wasabi for the most part.
I have heard of a cruel joke some people play - where they put a big scoop of wasabi in a metal dish and serve it in time for dessert - because it looks similar to green tea ice cream, and watch the hapless victim take a big spoonful. That's just cruel.

When I saw the update with the word sushi in the title, I came here wondering if the sushi would be smiling like with Tani's badge a while back. Anyway, you made the sushi look incredibly realistic and did well to articulate how an akita would be able to use chopsticks. Even now though, it still looks troublesome to do with a paw but he seems to be managing and has a paw to catch the sushi.... just in case it decides to try and slip away...

I like sushi. I hate how the staining soy sauce drips every where. But I suppose that's what makes sushi so delicious.
