Description
An oil painting of a waterfall at Portland's Japanese gardens. Based on a photo I took during October of '07.30"x40" oil on canvas, approximately 62 hours of work.
This is a photograph of the painting... as the painting is still wet, I won't be able to attempt to scan it for a while - and even then it may just be too huge to scan - I will see what I can do.

Beautiful piece. If you don't mind a question, for your rendering of the water, are you painting the grays of the rocks first and then using thin layers of white to develop the water?
Thank you
Jim

Having been able to follow this through the various stages and see the final outcome is a real thrilling privilege. I'm happy for you that it came out so stunningly beautiful. I think I mentioned before that this is the sort of work I've seen people buying from furniture shops to grace their walls... that may not sound like much of a highlight in an artistic career, but it is a point not everyone reaches.
May you and your talent continue to reach, grow, explore, and prosper. And thank you for letting the rest of us come along for the ride.
