Description
This is one of the more successful realistic pieces I've done. I was having a ton of fun doing the face patterning in the fur... I'd never done a realistically patterned wolf before, and the complexity of their natural coloration is really quite amazing. I also like that she looks gentle.. because I feel that wolves are portrayed as angry or mean most of the time when theyre probably not. I didnt want background to interfere with this one, so I painted a salted watercolor background...Related content

His lenguage is obvious but, his face have not much expression but it appears to still having human characteristics

To be honest, although I know it's the rule rather than the exception, I hate the idea of werewolves as demonic bloodthirsty monsters. To me, that's a throwback to the old centuries-long misconception that wolves are human-hunting creatures that need to be exterminated. The whole idea that "a werewolf is a homicidal killer because a wolf is a homicidal killer". And since I got a biologist background in me, I hate that. While in fantasy scenarios I think a werewolf isn't a creature to be treated as a "normal human" while transformed and probably best left alone until dawn, neither do I see it actively looking for people to kill just for the sake of ripping throats out.
But I digress. Nice work with this, and I prefer this kind of werewolf art.

I like how the werewolf's design makes it seem most animal-like and yet it's body language is very human-esque. Nice job.
