A simple animation I made last year. I actually only like it because it's Knuckles~ In reality it's really pretty bad X3It was part of an experiment to use sprites as the bases for frame animations~ I was going to draw it traditionally but I got to like the 5th sprite and spilled coffee on the page!!! So instead of redraw all the progress I made......I got impatient and gave up... and then I cheated by tracing over them in Manga Studio... -n-
The quality suffered~ But I still got my point across! And I do still like it
I hope I can use this to experiment with more sprites! Sonic 3 and Knuckles sprites ©

Awesome how this animation came out. I would've loved to see it done traditionally. What I really love about this is that the poses look like they came straight out of the game's sprites. You're awesome at this!

Aw, well there's nothing wrong with that. I use references and bases all the time. It's how we learn. ^U^ With the route you're taking now, you will get better, I'm sure of it.

Actually, this really isn't bad, it's just a little choppy at the end. All it needs is an extra frame or two and it would be just fine. ^^

I think this looks great! It's incredibly true to the original sprite and moves very fluidly.

It's pretty good. It reminds me of the animatics that makes.
I still suggest going back and finishing the original project. Setbacks suck, but you shouldn't let them defeat you.
Also, if you're interested, I'm thinking of making an animated short of Sonic & friends singing and dancing to the song "Cool Jerk" by The Capitols. I've been looking for animation-receptive artist who might be interested in collaborating on it.
