Very much like the Allegiance-class, cross between a smaller Galaxy-class and a smaller Sovereign-class.  Primarily a battlecruiser with secondary function as a Scientific exploration and research vessel.  The basic functions reminiscent of the old original Constitution-class from almost 140 years prior, but more battle-ready than a Galaxy-class.

Yeah... That's what I thought too. In fact, the refit that I made for the Borg Invasion is actually called the Allegiance Class.

I know that ship as Frontier-Class, there were once schematics, somewhere on my harddrive i saved them. According to this schematics i calculated different, slightly bigger dimensions. The necelles were looking a bit different and on the dorsal front of the saucer there was no auxilary deflector

I've seen it. And i already read it.. To me it doesn't really matter, if something is canon or not. No matter what the specs are, i like that ship.

Yea. As for the size, I went for a size that fit a larger than Excelsior Flagship, but not as big as the Galaxy Class.

Interesting. Concerning the design of the ship i'd say it was something like a intermediate stage between Galaxy and Sovereign

The design, yes. But not in role, at least in my stories.

She serves as an example of adaptability in them.
