zomg Kaede made an OC!! Believe me, this is sooo OOC for me, but hey, everyone else was doing it, so why not me? ^^Anyway, this is Fuuka. Yes, she's an airbender. NO, she is NOT meant to be a love interest towards Aang! She's just a friend!!
That being said, I have no idea whether she's supposed to be with the Gaang or not; it would be easier to just have her be a past friend, but... I don't really want her to be left behind to be in the firey doom of the Air Temples!
Agaah, I think I spent about 10 hours on this, total, maybe 11... I know, I know, I punked out on coloring the little Fuuka-faces, but I was getting a little tired of it...
Oh, yeah, "Fuuka" is fuu=wind and ka=scent. Yeah, I totally ripped it from Yotsubato! but oh well... -_-"

I know this must sound trivial and this picture is probably old anyway but I really wonder how they did the tattoo with her hair in the way. I'm not trying to be rude and I really don't mind the character, aside from a few plot holes, but just that one little thing is getting to me... sorry for babbling, Good artwork

She is a very old character, she's from 2006, after all. Perhaps they stopped the tattoos at the hairline, I dunno... it HAS been shown (after this was made, of course) that female airbenders keep their hair, with shaved foreheads, so perhaps they tattooed her in a similar way. perhaps I'm overthinking a throwaway OC from 2006, hmm.

I was just thinking it because the tatoos go down their back... and their arms, and pretty much everywhere. maybe they just shave a strpie down the middle... gosh that would look wierd. eh, whatever.

Not trying to diss your character or anything, but, how would she and Aang be friends? All the female airbenders lived in the Eastern or Western Airtemples, aside from the males. Aside from getting Appa, he would've never seen her. Just sayin'

This character is fraught with difficulties and incorrect canon because the show was barely half-done when I made her four years ago.
I doubt he would nevereverever return to the Eastern or Western Air temples, though. Sure we don't see him go back in a flashback, but did they specifically say that was the only time he'd been there? Just sayin.

I hope she's older than Aang, 'cause it's said that Aang was the youngest airbender to master airbending and those tattoos are only given to masters. I think it'd be cool if she had secretly followed Aang but in the storm, when Aang entered the Avatar State, she had been frozen (by Aang, unconsciously) in a different berg of ice that drifted on the North Pole and would be discovered when Aang had defeated to Firelord. Then Fuuka would track him down and join the Gaang! I like her. She's fun and simple to plot with. I love her hair...

aheh, to tell you the truth, I've kind of abandoned her. There were too many inconsistencies in the character, and I got kind of bored of her pretty quickly after this post. I don't even pay much attention to Avatar these days...
