For , I was also assigned to draw Pocahontas (voiced by Irene Bedard and singing voiced by Judy Kuhn), who is one of my favorite Disney Princess because she is a free-spirit and is able to look out for herself. I loved her outfit in her redesign but I really hate how they made her face, it looks too masculine instead of graceful as it should look. The title comes from her iconic song which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.Done in markers, colored pencils, gel pens, touched up and leaves added in photoshop.

That sounds amazing! I've barely ever seen behind the scenes to such magic in movies. It is pretty cool to think about and watch the making of things though!

Thanks so much. Pocahontas's hair looks so F**KING hard to animate when it is being blown in the wind! Pocahontas has been one of my favorite Disney Princesses since I was six because she really was the first one to not be all princessy and is portrayed as strong, free willed and independent.
I have my senior project this upcoming semester and I want to make an animated short film. Animation is fun, but it is extremely time consuming and the teacher evaluates the work very carefully when you turn in homework.

I bet it was! But it had to be perfect to become a classic! I don't really have a favorite myself but I have always enjoyed Pocahontas.
Time consuming isn't always a good thing but life itself is time consuming. What counts is the result.
