Description So this is my entry character for the RISE OCT. you may have seen me do him before, but he's still my original character, dammit. This is gonna be a long rant. Here I go.

Name:
Chikara

Home Planet:
Kal'Jorahn

Species:
Golaemian (sandstone variety)

Basically, the planet Kal'Jorahn is the Universe's only planet to have a large abundance of the mineral, "Golaemus," a strange stone that can absorb the radiation of stars and suns and convert it into lifeforce and sentience. the stored radiation becomes "aura," which the small clumps of Golaemus use in order to collect stones around them to form a moving body, modeled after thier very consciousnesses. After the stone body is formed completely, using whatever stone or metal resources are locally around the Golaemus ore in particular, the Golaemian wakens, and begins it's life without the needless developmental stages of biological creatures.

Since Golaemians are made of energy charged, nonliving matter, and at the core of every Golaemian is a "heartstone" that spreads said energy, most of their fighting techniques revolve around the manipulation of aura as both an offensive and defensive mean. Chikara, for example, uses his aura to spray out of his handcuff-like chains and the discs on his feet, then rotates it rapidly. the hand cuffs become deadly buzz-saws, and the feet discs become insanely fast wheels.

The energy is also used in non-violent ways, as well. Aside from the basics, like thought and movement, it also is sent out in auditory waves as a means of language and communication. In actuality, it would probably be a buzzing sort of sound, but for the reader's sake, I'll translate to English in the comic.

Obviously, Golaemians have no bones, or rgans, and can't bleed, so there isn't any danger of those kind of wounds. However, if part of the body becomes broken, it can be restored through gathering more minerals to repair and/or replace it, but it can't be done during battle, as it requires total concentration. the only way to kill a Golaemian is to destroy the Golaemus ore at its core, which serves as its heart and mind.

Golaemians are a very fierce warrior society, as they are immortal unless killed by another. the Golaemian population is actually consistantly kept in perfect balance. As there is only a limited supply of Golaemus, the only way for a Golaemian to even be born is if another one dies. the Golaemus reforms, gathers solar radiation, and forms into a completely new Golaemian.

by the species standards, Chikara is still very young (many powerful Golaemian warriors are thousands of years old), yet he is still hailed as a wondrous prodigy, and the fastest improving warrior in Kal'Jorahn history. He's pretty laid back, normally, but becomes a sadistic genius on the battle field, whose tactics rarely DON'T involve eviscerating the opposition to dust and/or contorting his opponents' bodies into shattered messes. He's a good person at heart, he just fiercely believes that the best way to show respect for his opponents (seeing as how death in battle is his people's only honorable exit of life) is to fight them with all the ability he has, every time. He's cool like that.

I know that I just took one of my "Golem" characters, gave him a Samurai Sociological background, and BS my way through re-explaining what a "Golem" is, but THAT'S STILL ORIGINAL DAMN IT! It should be any way. I think all that expository is pretty clever, what with the radiation absorbing rocks and gathered bodies differing based off of geological material available. That's pretty cool.

I'll design his vehicle as soon as I clear up a few questions that I have about them, namely, "can I have more than one?"

He seems pretty cool!

One concern with this ref.

Its kinda hard to tell what his face looks like on both sides with all those patterns xD

you should make a front view of the head so we can get a better idea of what he looks like.

best of luck to you!!
