Description
When you plan for a picture to be all high-profile and artistic and a jewel in the crown of your gallery - like the next picture I'm gonna upload - it comes out crap, no matter how much time or effort you put into it.

When you don't plan for a picture to develop into anything more than a time-killing doodle - like this thing here - it comes out great, or at least cute (EDIT: and as of February 19th 2010, it's my most popular deviation - thanks for proving my point, guys), no matter how little time or effort you put into it.

It's a phenomenon I'll never understand.

Regardless of the intent behind it, I'm quite proud of this drawing, mostly because the only thing I used reference for was the ever-tricky shape of Etno's head. It was totally, TOTALLY inspired by the Game Over screen of Stupid Invaders , which I only recently saw when ~Rixii linked me to some videos of the game in French . I had such a cutegasm when I saw that picture - that's what I miss out on for just watching it on Vimeo instead of actually PLAYING the game.

I just LOVE that Candy is clinging to Etno there. It's one of surprisingly many pieces of evidence of a pairing my friends and I have dubbed "Veggieshipping" due to the fact that both characters have been compared to vegetables in the show (Candy an artichoke in "Dr Artichoke and Mr Candy; Etno an eggplant in "Doodle").
