Comet stood on a platform raised off the ground. Before her lay an expanse of obstacles. She grinned and nodded at those watching her to show that she was ready to put on a performance. First, the small white mare, spread her wings and showed off her carefully groomed feathers. "Heh." She laughed to herself and nodded again, this time brining the sunglasses down over her eyes. "Let's do this." And with these words, Comet shot off the platform leaving nothing behind but blue flames.
The first thing to tackle was the shark tank. She veered in and out of the jaws of the creatures, narrowly avoiding the rows of teeth by mere inches. She knew she could do it. Just another thing she was good at. Next was the flaming hoops. She shot toward them. This was a cake-walk. She flew through each hoop with ease, even as they narrowed and narrowed and narrowed making the spots between her and the flames inches again. Blue flames began to spill out behind her as her tail uncurled and she reached maximum speed. With this she arched herself up until she was high in the air. She did a few loops and then dove down, straight down, toward the earth, wings folded at her sides. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!" She urged herself. Her free-fall was always her favourite part, but today she was taking it to the extreme. She fell much farther than she usually did, and finally, when she was just about to crash, she arched up, flying so close to the ground that it looked like she was dragging herself along the grass. With the last of her routine over with she flew back to the platform. "The end." She muttered to herself.

So, before I talk about my actual art, let me call out the haters out there:

Shut the up. I don't need to hear your opinion if I don't ask it. I draw because I love it. Not because I'm talented, and I want the whole world to see, and I want to be famous for my art. No. I draw because it relaxes me, it's a way to express MY creativity, and again, I love it. So next time you open your mouth and say "You can't draw." You may as well be saying to the greatest artists that ever existed "You suck." Because art is abstract, colourful, and beautiful. You don't have to understand it for it to be art. It just is. I could draw a line, and you'd see a line, but other people would see different things. Open your mind, you shallow bastard.

And, that my friends, is my rant.

So, finally, on to the picture:

I drew this for the Equestria Academy. This is the Creative Flight challenge as part of the School Battles. Comet is dazzling a crowd (which you can't see because I am lazy and my heart broke toward the end of the picture because of haters) with her awesome flying skills.
