The Last Invasion

“My lord, all repairs are complete.” A vortaak soldier said to the demonic titan. “We are ready to begin the invasion.”

“Excellent.” Bagan said with pleasure. “Then it seems our moment has come at last.” With a snap, a monitor came down to his side. “Emperor Karkaro, prepare your forces for attack. It is time to take what is rightfully ours.”

“How i’ve been looking forward to this.” Karkaro said with a wicked smile. “Your will be done, my lord.”

Bagan then reached out with his telepathy, and addressed his forces. “All forces, prepare for battle! Activate the transporter, and send our generals to the planet surface! The time has come to take Earth!” He then rose up from his throne, and went into a secluded part of the ship, where numerous creatures of differing shape and size resided. “The hour is nigh, my pets. The subjugation of Earth is ready to begin. And soon, The Antilife will be mine, once and for all.”

All throughout the ship, the echo of roars spread, while Bagan smiles a manic grin.

From within his realm, Astaroth watched as the alien armada made its way to Earth, and he smirked. “So...it has begun.”

Mothra Leo sensed the incoming threat from the stars. He knew it to be of alien origin, but even so, he had no idea it would be to this massive extent. This attack force was greater than he had originally anticipated, and it worried him greatly. He only hoped his friends would be ready to face the incoming threat when it arrived.

It had taken a while for the pair to heal after their battle with Biollante. But once they were all healed up, they began making their way home to Monster Island to further recuperate when they both sensed the danger arising. This was followed by strange ships they had never seen before flying into their atmosphere. All of them flanked by MG units. Both Godzilla, and Tristan had a feeling they knew what this meant.

The war has begun.

Cairo, Egypt, was battered by relentless storms, and whirling sands as a result of the crystal strain plaguing the land. Of all the sandstorms to assail egypt, this had to be the worst of them all. In accordance to the Crystal Incursion protocol, the people had been evacuated for their own safety. Thus leaving their city to be battered, and possibly buried by the sands. Yet the storms were the least of anyone’s worries as the region was about to receive some unwelcome visitors.

Lord Bagan, and his generals had arrived.

The dark one looked around this sandy terrain, and scoffed. “The only time I prefer the absence of crystal chaos.” His eyes then glowed red, and with a thunderclap, dispelled the storm completely, leaving only the terrain. He smiled with satisfaction, and said, “Perfect.” He then looked towards a single point, and marched over to his target. “The pyramids of Giza. Said to once be the closest point to the heavens. Built to honor the mighty pharaohs of this land. A marvelous sight to behold.”

He then shot lightning out of his hands, and fashioned the center pyramid into a throne, which he then proceeded to take seat in.

“This shall make an excellent seat for witnessing the end of the world.” He then turned to his warriors, and said, “Now, begin harvesting the crystals in this land until all of them are depleted. We will require as much power as possible to make this invasion a success. Gigan, take the Warship to San Francisco, and launch the invasion. Let the world know of the coming of the Tenebris Regime.”

“I live to serve, my lord.” Gigan said, before he took to the skies towards San Francisco.

“And now, to summon my faithful hunters. COME FORTH, MY ANTILOCKS! COME FORTH, AND SERVE YOUR MASTER!” He then slammed both hands into the Earth. And with power surging to a single spot, tore open a fiery rift in space and time. From this terrible rift, eighteen demonic monsters emerged one after the other - each more horrifying than the last. Their dark skinned bodies glowed with orange, blue, or yellow veins. Yet all of them seemed to pale in comparison to the Goliath that resembled an armored, twin-tailed centaur who emerged last from the rift before it sealed. This was the alpha of the Antilocks, and they obeyed without question. Even so, Goliath’s allegiance was made clear as he knelt before the demonic Titan on his personal throne. “We are at your service, my liege.”

“Excellent.” Bagan smirked. “I have finally summoned you forth from the Vortaak Warship, just as I had summoned you from the Anteverse, to serve my will. There are enemies who wish to thwart my acquisition of The Antilife. They must be destroyed at all costs. You will be sent to key locations across the world to find, and dispose of these interlopers. Is that understood?”

“Yes, Lord Bagan.” Goliath said, before he roared to his menagerie, commanding them to go forth, and do as instructed. The antilocks all charged to their targeted locations in groups of two, disappearing via the teleportation system. Only Goliath remained behind per Bagan’s command. “You, Goliath, are far too valuable to lose in the field of battle. You will stay by my side as my right hand as I assemble the Celestial Seven, and obtain the Antilife.” Though a little disappointed he would not be joining his comrades in battle, Goliath understood the order, and bowed his head in acknowledgement. All the while, Megalon looked on with a feeling of doubt growing in his heart.

“Then let chaos cleanse the world!”

“Captain Tanaki! Multiple hostile forces have entered our atmosphere!” Miku exclaimed. “Alien ships attacking cities at random...and our forces can’t hold them off.” She then gasped. “Sir, you won’t believe this….but it looks like the mothership is floating directly above San Francisco!”

“It’s starting.” Tanaki said. “It’s time to take action. Prepare to launch all of our mecha units, and send them to face the aliens. Send Kiryu to San Francisco.”

“Wait, sir….when you say all mecha units, do you also mean….”

“Yes. It’s time for Operation Jaeger to commence. Let’s just hope Gypsy Avenger is up to the task….and that the Earth Defenders can help us out.”

“They will, sir….you’ll see.”

Fears of an alien re-invasion have been confirmed.  After repairing their mothership, the Vortaak launch a full-scale assault on the Earth, unleashing all of their Kaiju. In a most aggressive move, the Vortaak warship has entered our atmosphere; it hovers over San Francisco to provide backup support for the invasion forces.  Bringing down the Vortaak mothership is now of highest priority.

Gigan, and his forces, however, make this easier said than done.

Fighters, and tanks were rendered useless as they were either trampled underfoot, or blown out of the sky by Vortaak fighters. The Trilopods, MGs, and the two antilocks, Trespasser and Hundun had begun tearing the city to shreds. This was the sight that greeted Godzilla, and Tristan’s eyes when they arrived. They were shocked by the number of forces in the city, but were taken aback by the sight of the Vortaak Warship. The odds may have been stacked against them, but they were already prepared to face impossible odds. So they came to the edge of the city, and announced their arrival.

“Well, well,” Gigan said, “the dinosaur bruiser, and his scrawny gecko of a boyfriend.”

Tristan snarled, but stopped when Godzilla raised a hand. “The robot chicken.” Godzilla sneered. “I’d say it’s a pleasure to see you again, but i’d be lying.” He then looked up at the ship. “So your boss is making his move.”

“More like showing his hand.” Gigan corrected. “The Tenebris Regime is finally ready to take this planet, and all who live. You cannot stop us this time. So why don’t you do the smart thing, and surrender?”

“To be an unwitting slave like you? Never.” Tristan said, making the cyborg glare in anger. “You’ve got a sharp tongue on you, boy….maybe I should cut it out, and feed it to my friends, the Antilocks.”

“Is that what the gruesome duo here are supposed to be?” Godzilla asked.

“Let’s just say the Emperor has grown tired of your meddling, and wants you out of the way. And trust me when I say that there’s more where these came from.” Gigan smirked. “But you won’t survive long enough to meet the others. ATTACK!” With that, the battle commenced. The kaiju duo blasted much of the Trilopods and MGs to bits with their atomic breath attacks, with only a few MGs shields protecting them.

Both Godzilla, and Tristan charged into the horde, and began tearing them apart. Tristan had some trouble, due to his lesser strength, but he was still strong enough to hold off their enemies. Luckily, he had Godzilla to help make up for his limitations. Even though the MGs shields made them difficult opponents, both Tristan’s speed, and Godzilla’s strength overpowered them, and the remaining Trilopods. Now, only the Antilocks remained for the two to defeat. Godzilla took the one called Trespasser while Tristan challenged the monster, Hundun. Gigan, meanwhile, watched the ‘show’ with amusement as the four kaiju traded blows. “Wish I still had hands so I can maybe enjoy the show with some snacks.”

“Why bother when you’ll be busy with me?” Came the voice of Kiryu who delivered a flying kick to Gigan’s head, and threw him across the city. Godzilla, and Tristan noticed, and were glad to have some help. Gigan, however, was less thrilled and charged his optic laser, “This is the last time you interfere with my fun.”, and fired at the same time Kiryu fired his Hyper maser attack, and collided with the beam in an epic explosion that shook the city. “Big talk for a cyber chicken.”, Kiryu said, before launching missiles out of his back at the cyclopian alien. After taking the missiles, Gigan screeched, and charged Kiryu with both chainsaw arms revving up. The pair were in a reverse tug-of-war with one another, pushing against the other.

Neither of them payed attention when one of several laser beams fired down into the city remains, and blasted them.

The battle with the antilocks was going better than either kaiju thought. Despite the beast’s ferocity, Trespasser was actually no match for Godzilla’s brute strength, and was being mauled by him. The fight, if it could be called such, ended when the monster king wrenched the alien's jaws open, despite being clawed repeatedly in the face; and firing a nuclear beam down its throat to kill it. As for Tristan, he found it easy to maneuver around the brutish hulk of a kaiju, and continuously claw the kaiju repeatedly. He then slammed his tail into its leg, and brought it down to a knee. Thinking fast, he then bit into the creature’s throat, and ignited his atomic flame. Just like Godzilla, despite getting scratched up, he managed to burn off the kaiju’s head. Letting it sink to the water as blue substance for blood poured out of the beast. He could smell the toxicity of the blood, and quickly burned at it, and Hundun’s stump to cauterize it, and stop the bleeding.

“Smart thinking. Who knows what that stuff could do to the environment if left unchecked.” Godzilla said, before vaporizing Hundun’s head, and the remaining blood.

“Either way, let’s avoid fighting these things in the water from now on.”

“Agreed.”

They then noticed the ship firing its lasers down onto the city, and were left wondering what to do when Gigan rose back up from his spot, and blasted them. “So you got rid of the antilocks, huh? So much for the two of them. Guess it’s my turn to settle things.” He said, revving up his chainsaws. Suddenly, he felt something tug at his tail. “Who said we’re finished, brass-beak?” asked Kiryu, before he then began spinning Gigan around in a full circle, and tossed him into the air. “I think it’s time you chilled out, Gigan.” His chest then opened up, and just as Gigan came crashing down, the Absolute Zero Cannon froze him in place. With him indisposed, Kiryu turned to Godzilla, and shouted, “Shoot at the laser points! That’s where the ships weakness lies! Take them out, and the ship goes down, too!”

Though he didn’t fully understand, he trusted Kiryu enough to listen to him. As the barrage from the ship continued, Godzilla charged up his atomic breath, and began destroying the lasers. Despite the attempts from the ships fighters to stop him, Godzilla continued firing until the bottom of the ship began blowing up. Just as soon as Gigan melted and broke his way free of the ice, he watched as the ship’s anti-gravity generator began to falter, and explode. All observed as the ship crashed into the elevated bay. Gigan couldn’t believe what he saw, and was in shock that the warship went down so easily. All eyes then turned to him, and he realized that he was outmatched. With a growl, he said, “This isn’t over!”, and flew away to safety.

“Damn right it’s not.” Godzilla said to himself, before looking over to the downed Vortaak ship, which barely peaked over the cliff where alcatraz stands.

Indeed, this was not over….it was only the beginning.

“The Antilocks were destroyed in San Francisco, my lord.” Gigan said as he knelt before Lord Bagan in his pyramid throne. “But worse of all is that Godzilla has brought down the Vortaak Warship. I tried to stop them, but I was waylaid by that cursed Kiryu. Forgive me, master, for I have failed you.”

Bagan then gave him a thoughtful look as the other monsters watched, and waited to see what would happen.

“There is nothing to forgive, Gigan.” Bagan said. “The fate of the Vortaak is….unfortunate, but necessary. Twice they have failed me in the past. This was simply their punishment for their failure.” He cupped his hands together. “Even so, the invasion carries on without them. But we will not forsake the Vortaak just yet. As for the Antilocks, they are merely the vanguard of this invasion. Whether they triumph or fail is of no consequence, for their numbers are great and I wish to see what my creations are capable of. And having underestimated Godzilla before, I needed to see how he would fare. Over-all...I would say this test has been most….informative.”
