Or as the title actually goes, "Godzilla: The Kings of The Earth", which is an official fan sequel to the IDW Godzilla trilogy, based on several things that happened: the release of 【MMDゴジラ】-GODZILLA 星を喰う翼- on youtube, my christmas present finally arriving in the form of the full second volume of Godzilla Rulers of Earth - and then, most ironically, glimpsing my older pic "An encounter with The One Who is Many", and remembering FF7 Machinabridged. Those are the foundations of this new fanfiction of which i'm currently working on.

But not before explaining the nature of the one, true enemy of the Godzilla universe: Ghidorah, The Golden Demise.

As he is described in the anime, Lord Ghidorah, which he arrogantly calls himself, if an inter-dimensional Elder God who resides in The Void: an other-worldly universe that's not a universe, or anything for that matter. It is as The Doctor described it: an expansion of nothingness where no life, death, concepts, aspects, or reality truly exists. However, Lord Ghidorah, for reasons his own, cast aside his physical form to become an energy being that can exist within The Void, and rule over this hellish realm. The remains of his mortal coils were cast off into different universes when he invaded these other universes to prepare it for his arrival - like heralds, or scouts for an asian wasp colony. But Lord Ghidorah is that singular colony. And though these Ghidrah shards, as they're named later, are part of the same whole, they all hold singular, individual minds that make them their own beings. However, their progenitor's will still controls their instincts, and drives them to destroy, and psychically feed on the terror, despair, hatred, misery, and desperation of lifeforms not themselves. In time, cults begin to arise to honor and worship The Golden Demise as their god. They are gifted with Lord Ghidorah's view of reality as being that of an obsolete, fruitless existence that is as fleeting as it is fragile, and inevitably, short lived.

To be exact, life is as meaningless as a parasite's existence, whereas death is the ultimate absolution, cultivation, and fairness.

Thus it is the Cult of The Golden Demise that learn the arcane arts that are necessary to call forth their god and master. This is also where the Ghidrah Shards come into play once they have sufficiently consumed enough negative psychic energy from their victims - even from the very planets whose lives they snuff. A convergence of a planetary alignment which comes once every eon, or so, allows otherworldly forces to weaken the barrier between dimensions as the sheer, gravitational force of the alignment weakens the space-time barrier, itself. The Ghidrah Shards then come together to Source World, or the heart planet of the universe they inhabit, and gather for what is known as "The Grand Convergence" where the center - or rather, the true heart of the planet - becomes the center point for the breach in the Void. The world itself being poisoned by a race of monstrous slaves who would infect the Lifestream of the world, and weaken its natural defenses. While the Cult of The Golden Demise performs the summoning ritual with the native lifeforms who inhabit the planet who are consumed by fear, hatred and desperation........so they can become unwittingly willing sacrifices to the Elder God whom they had been deceived into worshipping. From the void would consume their life essence (which eviscerating them), and his shards would all unite into a singularity that would be empowered by the Cult's ritual, and become the sacrifice to open The Void.

From there, Lord Ghidorah's threshold would open, and The Planet Eater would feast upon the universe and make it a mere extension of the Void via its death, and consumption.

Once that was done, The Cult, and his Shards would be sent to the next universe to prepare it for his arrival while he opens a breach into the realm of The Antilocks: his slave race used to infect a planets Lifestream, and negate its connection to The Source so that its consumption would be made the more perfect when The Grand Convergence commenced. Thus was this to be for an earth designated as Earth-G2013-IDWC, with the host of Ghidrah Fragments sent forth to perform their duties - until something went wrong, and two of the Shards had been defeated. One was sent to this Earth in the Permian Era, in the time before the dinosaurs, or even the kaiju existed, and waged war against the race of giants known as The Titans with his own army of Titans.......only for him to fall to the hands of the Alpha King of the Monsters, Dagon, who preceded the Gojiran race, and also saw to Legendary King Ghidorah's imprisonment within the region that would become the arctic. Though he caused immense damage to the planet to the point of causing an extinction event, the planet and all that existed on it would live.

Worse.........the loss of one of its heads in an early battle would lead to the corruptive birth of an unwanted shard.

Another would go to avenge its brethren, but would meet defeat at the claws of the descendant of the Permian Gojirans, who would one day be known as Godzilla. Only an anomaly in the form of an Xillian who had injected itself with Ghidorah cells would successfully lay the kaiju of the era low, and send them into millennia of slumber. The anomaly would later on abandon its own kind, and join with a command ship belonging to the now nomadic victims of another Ghidrah Shard, known as the Cryog. It wouldn't be until 65 million years later both the Ghidrah Shards, referred to as Heisei and Kaiser Ghidorah (or Monster X when in its Xillian-based form) would return. But the former would taste bitter defeat at the claws of Godzilla, and then the mechanical fury of a mechanical doppleganger before the Cryog would find his body in 2014, eviscerate Heisei's form, and then transform it into a telepathically controlled cyborg nicknamed MKG......only to face defeat once more at Godzilla's hands, with aid from his compatriot, Anguirus. Though he would actually escape with his life, Kaiser Ghidorah was not so fortunate years prior when he aided in an extraterrestrial kaiju invasion that saw him snuffed out by the same kaiju. It was becoming all too crystal clear that this universe had a creature that was a force for even the Ghidrah shards to reckon with. However, a fleet of Cryog ships that served as the remnants of their dead world made an assault on a global scale that turned to war against human and kaiju alike - one they inevitably lost.

But the world lost its most powerful guardian as Godzilla gave his life to end their threat as far as anyone knows.

Now seems as good a time as any to begin the gathering of the Ghidrah Shards, as the time of The Grand Convergence was drawing near. The breach would be opened, and The Antiverse would be used to carry out its task of terraforming the planet, and serving it for their Golden God. The Antilocks would come forth to poison this Source-World's Lifestream, and make it sustainable for Ghidorah. Just as both The Ghidrah Shards, and The Cult of The Golden Demise would prepare for the summoning ritual to end this universe. All they would need to do is handle this planets defenses, first. But it has more than just humans and their advanced technology to aid them in their own defense - and more than just kaiju to defend it as the time of the Titans was coming once more. Perhaps it would be beneficial to prepare for war before anything could jeopardize millions of years of preparation: even if it meant calling upon the inferior mongrel kaiju that served as enemies of the human race.

However, a band of kings, including one believed to be dead, may have something to say about that.

Important note: in the event a Ghidrah Shard dies, its strength will pass on to the ones who remain. An idea that was borrowed from DrGWRzilla and Godzilla Return of a Dynasty. This would ensure that each Ghidrah Shard would evolve to overcome the threat that was somehow eliminating them. Each ones power is equally distributed among its brethren, until inevitably one becomes too powerful for any opposition to slay. But more importantly, this would further the process of allowing Ghidorah of The Void to enter the universe as they would still be sacrificed to anchor him to the reality they were in. Coinciding with the Cult of The Golden Demise's ritual, Ghidorah Prime would freely enter that universe and consume it. Should the impossible be done, and the last Shard die, then Ghidorah Prime would reclaim the power of his heralds, and the negative essence they absorbed into their beings by any means available, and at their disposal.

And should The Grand Convergence be successful.........then may The Source have mercy upon that universe
