Its always been a query of mine as to how slimes walk around...

Varies from person to person. Some walk on two feet like humans. Others just move around with their legs fused into one flexible column of slime with the base puddle as their "feet" which they slide around on. There are some cases where a slime doesn't even take a shape to move around.
