Uhh... What ? You can totally see that I'm a huge fan of Shinkai Makoto ? Haha ! 8DAnyway, did you guys watch "Patema Inverted" ? I discovered it recently and thought it was really original and interesting ! The backgrounds might not be as breathtaking as Shinkai's works, but it's still seriously impressive and stunning (some scenes almost made me feel dizzy, I'm glad I don't suffer from vertigo
)Must watch ! It will makes you want to draw lanscapes too ! 8D

I actually did suffer from vertigo a while back....it is not fun. I had one episode that was so bad I was seconds from going to the emergency room because my heart was beating so hard and fast I thought it would explode, and everything was a blur from the spinning.....and those were just some of the symptoms...
Anyways, this is a good take on the idea of an inverted world. You did a good job rendering the background. Unfortunately, I've never seen this show, so I have nothing to compare this picture to.

Well, yeah, one of my friends suffers from vertigo, and she still had to climb the rock wall during PE classes... It was already so hard for her to climb it without looking at her feet, but she was litteraly in tears when she got more or less on top, and couldn't get down (the teacher was encouraging her, but I'm not sure it was a good idea...).Β And she had to climb it every single year when we had rock-climbing during PE ^^"

Yeah, even after Vertigo leaves you, it never completely goes away, I think so I understand how she feels. I still can't bend over or squat too quickly, or turn my head too quickly out of worry it might set the vertigo off. I'm a side sleeper. This complicates things because it's mostly in my left ear, so basically any sudden movements in a flat lying position can trigger it a little. I usually get over it within seconds, but that one fight I had with it was horrible. I wouldn't wish it on anyone; I felt like I was literally dying, and was about to pass out.

Patema isn't an incredible masterpiece, but I really enjoyed the movie, and the concept is so original and interesting !
