Veeka's just a pansy.

Mom asked me today why I doodle Veeka and Groll as wolves so much(puh-lease), and besides the obligatory doggystyle jokes I couldn't give her an adequate answer. This was mostly an experiment in coloring with The Gimp and not an actual hardcore fanart. I'm pretty pleased with it, for my first 'official' Gimp project.

I decided that instead of copping out and making their fur colors the same as their skin tone, I'd do the uniquesensible thing and base it on their hair color. Veeka is a little more rust-colored than her hair is and Groll went from being grey-black to a blueberry to a happy medium after I ditched the picture for an hour. I also tried a leetle harder to better convey who was who not just by their expressions but also their bodies - Groll is woahmgxboxhuge compared to Veek and I did include his tusk though it's sort of hard to notice as it's on the other side of his mouth. ._. I couldn't tell you if his other tusk just broke off or actually came out all the way - you'd have to ask his creator, who would be none other than the luvverly ~Tikani-Kat - but he looked funny without some semblance of a tooth there. Veek just has her trademark super-duper-sensitive nubhorns, which, for some reason, don't seem to be phased by the cold in the least.

I'm too tired to fight with it anymore, but if I hadnt've put Veek's tail over Groll's front paws she might look a little more like she's bunched up all snuggly warm and less stupid.

Oh well.
