Salut~ Yay! A new drawing! So, I realized I haven't been very active lately, so I decided to upload one of my assignments, since I haven't been working on anything drawing-wise outside of school. Enjoy~ ^^Oh gods... my mom keeps freaking out about this picture and whenever company comes over I have to show it to them. and it's been about what, three months after I drew it? D: *hides in corner and screams in anguish for showing this to my parents*

Wow, I need to be doing things like this for my audition to get into art school for 9th grade. Any tips for me? Because this looks AMAZING.

Make sure you have a reference (for this, I set the shoe down on my lap and kept it still). I also kept it near a light source that was in one area (towards the right, left, above, etc.). It's better to have just one light source, so you know where the shading goes. Then I used B, 4B, and 6B pencils for the shading and I used my finger and a kneaded eraser to smudge a little bit. ^^
I hope that helped, but judging by your artwork, you'll be fine.

Just gave it a shot and drew a pair of sunglasses. It wouldn't have been half-bad if I hadn't ruined it with a bad drawing of my computer mouse in relation to it *puts bucket on head* Oh well. It's a start.
