Honestly Cinder, you planned to betray a giant cosmic dragon hellbent on intergalactic conquest whom you made a faustian deal with. It's like trying to backstab Thanos in order to steal the Infinity Gauntlet from him. It's common sense not to betray those who are much stronger than you are andthey know about.
In fact, he's probably already stronger than the Fall Maiden powers. Why would he even need it if his powers already surpasses that of Cinder's?
