Description
Here are some things I noticed about the design for Godzilla in KOTM '19. Namely the changes made.1. The 2014 design has a somewhat crocodile-like tail, most notably how it ends in a vertical paddle. The 2019 design is rounder and more akin to the Heisei/Millenium designs, slightly shorter, and, if you look closely, it's segmented.
2. While the pic I have doesn't show it, the 2014 incarnation's Atomic Breath had a more misty quality to it, very much akin to the 1954-Showa versions. The Atomic Breath from LegendGoji 2.0 is much fuller, more powerful-looking, and has a Heisei feel to it.
3. The spikes on both designs are very different. The 2014 design had dorsal plates that were smaller than what we're used to (in fact, they were smaller than FinalGoji's dorsal plates) and, while they were closer to the original design than Zilla in '98, they were craggier and resembled something like jagged rocks or shattered glass. The 2019 design sports dorsal plates that are not only larger, they also look more akin to the maple-leaf patterned spikes we all know and love. Also, I think this is just me, but the spikes look somewhat lighter in color.
If anything, as much as I appreciate the 2014 design, the 2019 redesign invokes a feeling closer to the Toho Godzilla.

Not only that, but he's now starting to look like the classic Godzilla.

I think I like this little concept: like the heisei Godzilla, monsterverse G seems to be growing, and changing to accommodate for the time. Or maybe he DOES get stronger when he absorbs radiation. Y'know: like any normal Godzilla does.

Seems to be. I would not be surprised if they reveal his dorsal fins are his radiation generating organs this time around.

Well, given those parts of him always glow when his breaths out his atomic breath, it wouldn't surprise me. Though i'd be fine if his heart remains the equivalent of a reactor, and therefore a secondary component for this whole thing.

Would not be surprised if that's the case.

Well, it's a well established part of his character. And even if monsterverse Godzilla is basically a relative species, he's still a precursor to the Gojirin's. Which means he should be capable of some of what they are - or at least have a similar biology. Unlike Mr. Doomsday-TheThing-Shin Godzilla, that is.

Well i heard and red somewhere that g14 has continued to evolve over the years as in his body is growing in size especially his dorsal plates and i heard something about him having a huge adaptability rate meaning his battle with the mutos years ago made his body evolve much further along his dorsal plates have tripled in size to hold more atomic power which explians his much more powerful atomic breath

Also, who knows, maybe this also means his regenerative abilities are touched upon.

Though that doesn't explain why he came off as a monster way past his prime in the first film. Godzilla in the Monsterverse is described as the last of his kind and he is the oldest incarnation of the character, dating all the way to the Permian era. He predates the dinosaurs. For all we know, this is a result of him absorbing radiation from the nuke in the first film or just him evolving to adapt in this new timeline.

micheal dougherty the director stated godzillas design was gonna be altered but he siad he will explain when we see the actual movie and i do agree with u its a possibilty that nuke that went off in that city his body absorbed the radiation after it exploded its highly possible his body has further mutated

Not to mention a full design for Mothra. And, no, a stone carving does not count as a full-body reveal. I mean a full-body, fully detailed design.
