The other week I had an interesting dream, involving a small seaside town. Its residents were cursed to turn into fish monsters. They were similar to werewolves; but instead of the phases of the moon controlling the transformation, it was the tides of the sea. At low tide, they were ordinary people. At high tide, horrid fish monsters. Of course that means most of the time, they were stuck in an odd mid-transformation… and because the tide cycles in and out about twice a day, they were just constantly changing back and forth. Far less scary, way more clumsy, and just plain silly
