I hypothesize that Godzilla's sheer size and power would win this bout.
Gipsy Danger was 260 feet tall and weighed 1,980 tons.
Legendary Godzilla is 355 feet tall and weighs 90,000 tons.

Size and weight aren't everything. They just have to be CLOSE enough in size to be considered a fair match.
Godzilla's fire breath, on the other hand...that MIGHT be a problem.

You know, Godzilla is one kaiju that is just an animal living his natural life. Β The kaiju in Pacific Rim however where our to destroy Earth. Β In other words, Godzilla is the least of their problems. Β Besides, I don't think Godzilla likes other giant monsters hanging around the Pacific Ocean, which is, by natural law and instinct, his territory. So I think Godzilla would just do the whole Kaiju slaying job for them. Β

This was commissioned before the movie came out & that info was available lol. Just assume that either Godzilla's been scaled down or more likely that Gipsy has been scaled up to be a better match for the King of the Monsters >;3

Just a few long months and a couple of days, and then Godzilla will finally reign upon the big screen once more! Although I do admit a crossover would be entertaining. Awesome piece of art!

From what can be gathered from recent images and trailers, Godzilla is nearly twice the height of Gipsy Danger, who was 78 meters tall. That's pretty damn big, because it means the big G is over 4 times the overall mass our favouite Jaegar. Still, would be an amazing match-up, if a bit short.

Well, this is a fan pic featuring a more traditional sized Godzilla to make for a fair fight, since kaiju sizes have fluctuated over the years after all.
