I was really proud of my Allo Practice Head Sketch (www.deviantart.com/kaijufan113… ), so I just had to do the full body of my #1 favorite dinosaur. If you seen the Practice Head Sketch, you would know I originally wanted to use Western Diamondback Rattlesnake for coloration since my Giganotosaurus was based on the Green Anaconda, but decided instead on lizards, mainly monitors, to make it more appealing.
Speaking of, I would say the coloration may be inaccurate when you take into account the size of the animal AND how it hunts. A good video that explains it is from EDGE Science (youtu.be/ezowFiS3ea0 ). I definitely focused more in sexual dimorphism than I did camouflage. Right now, I'm figuring out the coloration that would make more sense. For now this is just artistic liberation.
