This may sound narcissistic but I am naming the male after myself because I think its cool to have a dinosaur named after you.

So if you read the previous post, I struggled coloring Andy & April. Originally I wanted them to be based on a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake with a bit of American Bullfrog for the male variant. It looks good but I wanted my fav dinosaur to be more appealing so I decided to recolor it. I wanted a snake so I can show it was related to my Giganotosaurus, Gustavo, who was colored after a Green Anaconda. I ended up using lizards instead since its close enough. I was leaning heavily towards Monitor Lizards and chose Perentie, but I didn't like the brown coloration so I looked up the genus Varanus to see other species. That's when I remember seeing a Twitter post of @_kaijukrew_ Godzilla color mutations (twitter.com/_kaijukrew_/status… ). I then decided to try something a little bit different where instead of using 1 animal for color inspiration, I use multiple animals. So I combined Komodo dragon, Perentie, Blue Tree Monitor, & Blue Tegu and there's the final result.
I'm so proud of the final result that I'm going to do a full body sketch of my Allosaurus when I have the time (you know, school & work always comes first).
