Before the release of Pacific Rim and Godzilla (2014) Cartoon Network released a 3d animated movie based on a comic book series by Image comics that followed the story of teenage boy how’s mother was human and his father was a Kaiju.

After the long war between humans and Kaiju ended peace had come to the world thanks to the bravery of a woman named Margaret Rosenblatt who had gave herself up to the King of the Kaiju, Belloc and in their union she gave birth to a hybrid, half human, half Kaiju, Duncan Rosenblatt.

16 years later, Duncan and Margaret have moved to a small town in the desert were he try’s to fit in but things begin to get vary complicated when Belloc returns for him to teach him how to use his powers and to prepare him for other challenges that are to come, such a when the other Kaijus decide to try to kill him, his father, and everyone he cares about in a fight for survival.

This movie was well received back when it came out on Cartoon Network but has sadly been slightly forgotten since then, which was sad since I believe it would have had a bright future with its own series and even maybe a crossover with the more popular shows at the time like Ben 10, Generator Rex, and the Secret Saturdays.

It is a fun watch for those of us who watched these kinds of things back when we were younger and would say give it a shot and see how you like it yourself.

Note: Firebreather is part of the Invincible universe in the comics, teaming up with Mark Grayson (Invisible) and two others to form their own team and fighting alongside each other so it might be possible that Duncan, Balloc, Margaret, and some of the other characters from this film/comic may get a chance at reassertion in the future.
