More fan art from Watership Down the series. It's Hawkbit the sarcastic bunny! Always with a quick joke or a complaint even in times of war. 's favorite character from the series. We debated how Hawkbit got his name. We both assume at some point in his life this bunny survived an encounter with a hawk and it gave him his pessimistic outlook.I suppose it would have been more realistic to draw him with his mouth open as he liked to talk!

Yeah, it is. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leontodo… Turns out what I've been thinking of as 'tall dandelions' is hawkbit. Given his role in the story that makes a lot of sense.
