Godzilla TriumphantSummary: 10 years after Godzilla vs. Destroyah, Godzilla Jr. rises from the depths under the influence of a strange alien invader, and is making his way around the world for one purpose; to assemble the mightiest army ever to walk the face of the earth. But for what purpose? Miki Saegusa and her allies scramble to find the answers before the world is obliterated by this unstoppable force, and before Godzilla is completely Triumphant!

Just a fan comic for fun, continuing the Heisei Godzilla movie series of the 90s. I did this series as a "sketch project", meaning I made it an exercise to make as good a book as I could as fast as possible, because sadly I can't spend all my time working to make the comic look as excellent as a Godzilla book deserves, but I hope you'll find it fun to read irregardless, and I still hope to have done my best. Enjoy!

This story continues the Heisei era which never featured Gigan. In this story he's man-made.

It's just for me, two Kaiju who start as alien destruction machines being reinvented as man made SDF weapons is enough.

Nah, the whole "rogue robot" thing has been done, Gigan's human made in this version of the story and will be fighting monsters on behalf of G-Force.

Yeah, I agree. Final Wars Gigan is a LOT better; looks more like a ninja with a blade than the old. Plus, it's a little more realistic when you think about the new series.

Wow, i must say this is one truly truly awesome comic series your making! It has a really retro feeling to it. The story is really interesting and the art is amazing. You really really draw Godzilla and them very very awesomely! I can't wait to see more

Its funny, even with Gigan not moving or being alive he still has that evil grin on his face lol. So is this actually him or a robotic version of him?

this is his "official" heisei series introduction, since the timeline follows that era, so basically all I did was make him like Mechagodzilla and have his new incarnation become a tool of humans to fight kaiju, so this version is not a cyborg but a full fledged robot.

Ah, i see. So you essentially took the Final Wars Gigan and changed his role to be a mech? Very cool idea. He certainly fits the mech role perfectly. Its still funny how he still has that evil grin lol
I have a question, G vs Destroyah took place in 94', 95' so wouldnt that mean that this series takes place in 2004, 2005?

Right, I didn't want it to be too far in the future and make Miki a senior citizen, but it seemed like a good idea to have there be a period of peace before WHAMMO, kaiju invasion from all sides again. Gigan was a must, he's one of my favorite kaiju ever, but expect to see a lot of monsters that were left on the cutting room floor of Toho's scrapped scripts, especially Bagan who long deserved his day in the sun.

So this is essentially a Heisei Godzilla story that takes place in the Millennium era? Cool. I really like the retro feeling this story has. It brings back memories of older Godzilla movies. Gigan is pretty cool I have to admit. I believe hes the toughest adversary Godzilla ever faced. Ghidorah comes in a close and though. i also love the fact that your going to use other mostly unused kaiju too. I can't/hope you use Titanosaurus. Hes among my top favorites. Using Bagan is going to be both very interesting and very cool. You NEVER see Bagan in anything so he does deserve the spotlight for once. I'm assuming your going to use Super Godzilla then?

Two main reasons why I actually do not intend to have Mothra in my series, at least for a considerable amount of time, is because for one, this follows the Heisei movie continuity, and by this point Mothra is long gone in space trying to destroy that meteor, so only Fairy Mothra would be around anyway. And second, and I hate to say it as much as I like Mothra, she's overdone. My intentions with this series are to try and match up or introduce monsters that either don't show up that often, like Dhagarla or Varan, or introduce new ones who never had an official entry into the Godzilla series like Redmoon, and a host of others I have in mind.

Alright last page to comment on today. First, its great to see you refer to it as "The Gigan". It gives the monster a more dominating feeling by just uttering his name. I have seen Gigan as a man-made weapon by C.L. Weiner and his Godzilla vs King Kong fic that was written waaay back in the day, but it is nice again to see that idea used again. I mean you can only have the monster made by aliens so many times before it gets pretty bland. Hopefully this one does not cut off his own head in battle like in Final Wars.
Its a great comic and I hope you keep up with it. Its great to see so much effort being put into a fandom. Most people in this fandom just give up on their stuff. Half done pictures or fan fics that will never see the daylight of finishing. Great job though! Keep it up man!

I'm always very grateful for your support, Baragon. To me it would be a delight if more fans with artistic skills would do this sort of thing, just for fun, but it really does take commitment both in endurance and time consumption, both of which are hard for me working and getting through school, but the reason I do the book, even as just a cheap little sketch comic, is to enjoy my favorite movie series in a new way and to unwind.
I'll keep going so long as I enjoy it, fans want it and I still have a drawing hand. So, I should be at it for a while, methinks.

in the future i might introduce one of the alternate ghidorahs (like Desghidirah, Kaizer or Grand King), but as this follows Heisei continuity, King Ghidorah has been dead since the Mecha King Ghidorah episode and that version of him won't be back in my book.
