One of the biggest disappointments I've had as a Godzilla fan during my younger years was eagerly awaiting each Godzilla film in the Millennium series, reading the rumors and news from Japan on the young internet, and when I heard they were planning Anguirus, Baragon and Varan for GMK I couldn't have been happier....until I found out they cut out two of those three and I lost my chance to see Anguirus prior to 2004. GMK is still a great Godzilla movie but I still think Toho are greedy cowards for going with the big name money maker kaiju, but intellectually yeah I get it. So for my part I just decided to make a figure based on the Anguirus design made in concept for the film and enjoy having him there representing on the shelf.
