Of all the Gamera films from the Showa era Gamera: Super Monster and Gamera vs. Jiger are my least watched, partially because I've watched the others that were featured on MST3K over and over running through that show but also just because I suppose Jiger the film was never one of my favorites anyway, though it has its strengths. A "mother monster" is usually a pretty good element in a film, and Jiger was fun in that regard. The design is simple but commendably so, though I'll never forgive the movie for that shot of the elephant's trunk. The whole room of me and my friends almost gagged on that one. The high grade figure as always is nicely made, though it probably has the least paint application of any of the Gamera high grades I own, making it look a little overly simplistic and plain by comparison.
