Description
The best small-scale Anguirus figure out there, this figure demonstrates why Revoltech was a first-class choice for rendering Showa era kaiju, and why it's a shame they didn't continue with the license. Don't get me wrong, the SH Monsterarts line is fantastic, but that series doesn't branch off into the Showa era as much, especially not on enemy or ally monsters. Revoltech gave us no less than Anguirus, Baragon, Mothra '62, the original Mogera, Rodan and assorted Gamera figs, but thankfully these pieces go side by side pretty well with the Monsterarts line.

ah yes I remember this guy I actually got him along with the very first S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla for my birthday when they were first announced
I just wish Tamashii Nations would just stop with the repaints and just release more Showa and Millennium kaiju (granted we got Gigan 2004, 3 versions of Kiryu, GMK and KiryuGoji and Gamera 97, and 99) but come on why not have Kamacuras and Kumonga they'd be perfect for that line or Figurearts can do Jet Jaguar, the Gargantuas, and legendary Kong

Tamashii kind of treats the Toho line like DC treats Batman, you'll get a hundred variations of Batman for the handful of other characters in a lineup. I've bought very few of either the Monsterarts or the Revoltechs though so I'm not as super invested, but it's always really neat to see what gets announced and ponder if it's in the budget if it's one I reaaally want it.

I never understood this whole "Angilas is brown" thing. He looks greenish-grey in the movies. Rodan and Mothra Larva are, of course, brown, but Angilas never looked the same color as them.
