Description
When you're a figure collector it's odd sometimes to discover just what figures or characters became scarce or pricey, but that seems to be the case for pretty much most figures of Biollante's Rose form. Finding this toy from the Iwakura line is hard enough, but finding the color version is even harder, since it's more common typically to find the black and white variant. It's a great representation of the first form, I particularly like the water effect, but unfortunately the toy is made of more brittle plastic and one of the tentacles broke off during a move. It's one of the stranger choices ever made for an opponent monster to have Godzilla go up against a giant flower beast with a girl's trapped soul, but hey, it worked.

Congrats on securing such a rare figure! Biollante's rose form sadly doesn't get much love period, didn't even appear in any of the IDW Godzilla comics. Don't get me wrong, her final form is definitely the coolest, but its kinda sad how her larval form tends to get ignored.

Yeah, sort of that odd category of monsters that just get overlooked a lot. Rose Bio is one of the reasons though that I wish more films had been done in the 80s with a harder edge, it would have been fun to see what they'd do with the horror genre level of practical effects Toho was just tapping into
