Sometimes we flatter people and talk them up to be sweethearts and gentlemen, but in the case of the legendary Akira Takarada it's not flattery, it's the honest truth. The dude is not only a screen legend but he's a tough and generous guy. 85 years old and this man is STILL flying out to G-Fest to hang with us his fans, giving us his time and receiving our love. It's nothing short of amazing and his generosity is unquestionable. Always cheering, always smiling, always willing to go the extra mile. A true classy gentleman, and I'm beyond honored that I've not only been able to meet him 3 times but that he accepted some artwork as a gift.

Long may he continue to grace us with his abundant warm energy and inspire good cheer and friendliness. My life is so much richer for being on the receiving end of his smile.
