Thanks Cuper, one of my goals this last year has been to try and improve my digital painting. Β It's a loooong battle when you've spent most of your life doing nothing but lineart, but it's fun as well.

I was horrified when I heard the news. The man had amazing talent. He did a wonderful job bringing batman to television. I really don't know where batman would be without him and his performance in the show. His work in all his other roles were great as well, such as the Grey Ghost in the amazing Batman animated series. We will miss you. Rest in piece

He was one of my two childhood Batmen, the other being Kevin Conroy, the best of both worlds, the dark and the fun.Β I'll look at my boxed West Batman figure hanging over my desk with a little extra fondness.

Rest in peace old chum indeed. Honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of the old show. But Adam West as an actor was always a treat to watch. Whether it was live action or his voice work.Β

I like the ability in most of my fandoms to switch between lighthearted fun and darker and edgier, which both Godzilla and Batman allow.Β It's a good balance, and 1966 Batman never ceases to make me feel good.Β I hope that people will look into both his light hearted work and some of his serious roles now to appreciate his genuinely charming abilities as an actor.

Of course. Take Leslie Nelson for example. Most of the roles he's had have been comedic. But when he gets a dramatic or dark role. I'm always amazed and captivated by how good he is in them. Don't get me wrong when I say even if an actor has done mainly comedic roles and few dark dramatic ones. I'll still enjoy their performance. The only thing in my book that can truly sour a good actors role if at all, is a horrible script. Granted that's just my view. But I do see were others come from when they talk about West's time as Batman. Even though I'm not too big on the show it's self. I still find some enjoyment form the actors on occasion in the show.

Definitely agree, the quality of a script is more than half the battle to good material and performance, though it always helps to have someone with innate talent. Β My favorite comedy, Some Like It Hot, is a good example, the material and writing is so good that it makes it incredibly easy for the talent to run with it and own it.

Never did see that one. Then again I grew up watching Mel Brooks and Leslie Nielsen movies.

I never watched enough of Leslie, but I should, I really did enjoy him in everything I caught him in. Β I did grow up on The Producers and Young Frankenstein, Mel's glory days. Β My dad just performed the old blind man from Frankenstein in the stage version

Cool. I'd love to see the stage play of Young Frankenstein. Have you ever seen Blazing Saddles?

I saw it for the first time last year! Β The word is nuts Β It was hilarious but absolutely nuts. Β Big soft spot in my heart for that brand of madcap comedy.

Yeah that's a good way to describe it. Mels' brand of parody and comedy is hard to find. But it's always a treat to watch. Though cuz of that I'm picky about the comedies I watch.

He had a good run, and he knew he was well loved, it's just always a bummer.Β You just want them to be around forever.Β May he dance the Batusi for all time.
