#9: Batman BeginsDon't get me wrong, if you were to ask me what my favorite incarnation of Batman is for pure enjoyment I would immediately answer with "Batman the Animated Series and the original long run of the comics". I've got hundreds upon hundreds of Batman comics, so I consider myself a pretty reasonably hardcore fanboy. I have a lot of love for the 90s films (particularly the '89 original and Returns), and Mask of the Phantasm is absolutely brilliant. But honestly, Batman Begins just had the right balance for me of a live-action Batman I wanted to see, a live action Bruce I wanted to see, and Ra's Al Ghul being played by the inimitable Liam Neeson was a dream come true. That, and Scarecrow is my all-time favorite Bat-villain, so that played into it a little, too
The Dark Knight may be the better Batman film overall, but this one still wins out on my personal tastes and needs meter.

I really do, I mean yeah he's the bad guy but I've actually taken a lot of the training stuff to heart. Who isn't inspired by the whole speech of "Training is nothing! THE WILL IS EVERYTHING!"

The Dark Knight was an awesome film that I feel did its own spin on the franchise, while Batman Begins tried to stay close to the source material a little more. My favorite part is still when Bruce is telling Alfred the reason he needs to become a symbol to protect Gotham.
