Tiny Sogell island in the south Pacific once the breeding sanctuary for Megadinosaurs and super insects that the Muans used as living weapons. The scientists on the island were plagued with raids on their food supply by an unseen foe who would reveal themselves to be the young of the 45 meter mantises called Kamacuras and they were the main predators of the island. The Kamacuras had a social order resembling elephants, the oldest and meanest female called the shots and this pack was ruled by a 50 meter bitch that would kill any creature that threatened her young or her dominance.
Kamacuras and five of her kind not counting the 8 meter babies, unearthed the egg of the infant dinosaur Minya and would have devoured him had Godzilla not arrived. One of the male insects and a young female were not about to give up a huge meal like this and decided they could take Godzilla, the male lunged but Godzilla dodged and blasted him then the female jumped and dug her sharp claws into Godzilla's shoulder and ripped at it with her jaws and pummeled his head. Godzilla threw the female into a hill then the male still on fire, charged Godzilla and another blast destroyed the mantis and the female jumped again and Godzilla grabbed her and with a quick jerk pulled her head off. The other Kamacuras knew better than challenge Godzilla and fled to another part of the island, in 1968 the remaining Kamacuras were moved to Monster island where they seem to have put aside their rivalry with the Godzillasaurs and even became allies helping Godzilla against the likes of Monster X, Gigan, and Ghidorah.
The large female Kamacuras is surprisingly a friend of the huge spider Speiga who share the same territory.
