The Kothoga became public knowledge in early 1999,when the city of new york,still reeling from the year prior's Zilla incident, when the museum of natural history had its grand reopening. The creature killed dozens of people and destroyed much of the museum in the process. It was at last killed in a firey explosion, examination of the body showed the 8meter long monster was once human and a scientist who had went to research the legend of the Kothoga, who fell ill with malaria in south America, the following is taken from his recovered dairy from the natives.
" The natives gave me some sort of fungus they said would stop the fever and rid me of the bad spirit that made me sick, day 2, i feel better than i ever have and am extremely energetic the natives seem to be staying a good distance from me and only the shaman and those close to him come to check on me. Day 6 something is wrong, bristly hairs are beginning sprout from my body and i have extreme pain in my jaw and anal area and the natives have fled the village and some of my crew have left also my speech is slurring all i can figure is the tale of the Kothoga, a man becoming this kaiju-like thing is what is happening to me. Day 8 no more pain when i woke i killed one crewman head cut off and brain i ate and i have turks and tail i Kothoga must get home to water no more human!!!!!!"
the rest is inaudible. G-force destroyed all the plants that harbored the fungus that creates the Kothoga. Another Kothoga was used by the Kilaaks as a weapon of terror but was killed when Godzilla destroyed the aliens base, it was bigger than the other one being nearly 10 meters long, it’s origins are a mystery.
