Description
SPEIGAAKA: KUMONGA, GOWORGALA
height at thorax: 20 meters
length of legs: 60 meters
Dwelling in the center of Sogell island, buried under the sandy soil waiting for some unfortunate creature to stumble her way, this was Speiga a colossal 60 meter spider that threatened to eat the young Minya and had wrapped the poor kaiju in her almost indestructible silk and had her fangs poised to strike down the little monster until Godzilla heard the crys of his son and hurried to fight the arachnid and after a lengthy and terrible fight Speiga was burned and beaten and buried herself in the snow that was created by the humans on the isle so they could freeze the kaiju and escape. Speiga was moved to monster island in 1968 where she would become an ally and friend to Godzilla aiding him against numerous kaiju.
Even though she has fought for the safety of the Earth, and set aside her animosity with her fellow kaiju, she is still an object of fear to many prey animals on the island, as well as the human race, because she has no issues in making meals of humans.
Powers,
- silk glands in mouth produce some of the strongest silk of any living creature, only vulnerable to heat and fire
- remarkably agile
- exoskeleton protects from all man made weapons
- venomous fangs
- spear like legs
( I want to let yβall know there is a spider, called the spitting spider, that produces silk from its mouth)

In the English dub of Godzillaβs revenge, ichiro calls the spider Goworgala, or that is how it sounds to me.

Actually, the name for the giant spider is Kumonga. Spiega was it's American dubbed name.

I grew up knowing her as Speiga, and that just has stuck with me, itβs no big deal, though some fans think it is.
