Description
A quick image of a Blood Dragon or sometimes also called Vampire Dragons.They got their names for two reasons, one is how brutally they often tear their prey apart making their creamish fur blood red, and the other reason being that they often actually just drain the blood from their prey.
They store the blood in their fat tails and filter out the iron so they can produce more oxygen throughout their bodies which makes them able to fly,fight/be active for days without a break/sleep.
Will add more when I remember it again.
And I will post less boring images again soon!

Ooooh, intimidating yet most intriguing! I really like the color palette and the big sharp looking wings, but I also really like that mane too! Also, that iron absorption thing is actually really clever.
I can't help but wonder, do their tails start out flat like a pancake and then inflate when they drink blood? It would be silly, I know, but I can't help but imagine it that way and it's making me giggle a bit XD;
I would pet that mane if I knew it wouldn't chomp me when I did :C

Ah, I actually wanted to add that info about their tails but forgot. The tails wouldn't start out all the way flat, but slimmer. And the more blood is inside the tail the fatter they get. They usually stay the size as seen in the drawing(as too much blood in the tail would cause them to be off balance, especially during flight). And they are such good hunters that you barely ever see them with a blood drained tail.
And as always, thank you for the comment! :]

Do their tails explode like a tick if you set it on fire? Love the design though, very cool!

I didn't even know that happens with ticks, that is nasty. So that won't be happening with my dragongs, lol.
And thank you!
