Description

Change: The waters carried Faniry to a room filled with nothing but water. The floors, the walls, the pillars. Everywhere she looked, all she saw was water. Walking through these pillars of water, and still shaken up from the former room, she felt like her mind was playing tricks on her. She could have sworn she saw reflection in these towers of water. Reflections of her? After a while, she decided to investigate further. It takes a moment, but indeed does a reflection manifest in one of the pillars. This reflection, so familiar yet so foreign. It's her, when she was still an animal. Her former self, looks so happy and content. If only, she could become that person again, that just loved how things were going and didn't have a worry in the world. Maybe, one day...

A Moment of Connection: Faniry finally is able to leave this room via a platform that descends down into the next room. The descent is long and slow, but Faniry takes in the gorgeous scenery that unfolds before her. This room is truly beautiful and it makes her feel a bit calm. Once she reached the bottom, the room just grew even more massive. The waters where so wild, yet they also felt playful, happy. Watching the waters dance together, Faniry couldn't help her mind from drifting away. Remembering the good times she had with her former owner. The times he brought her her favorite food, and just enjoyed watching her eat it all up in joy. The times she'd rolled up next to him on a sofa, which always put a big smile on his face. Or the time he spent several days and nights with her, cancelling all appointments, because she got ill and he wanted to ensure she was ok. If only life could be like that again.

But it's not. It never will be. Faniry moves forward, starting to realise slowly, who she is.

Something Gained: It took so long until Faniry finally reached the top of the mountain. At first, it seemed impossible to claim. Yet here she was, at the summit. Looking over so much of the conservatory. It was mesmerizing. The breeze she felt up here was so good and for the first time in a long time, her mind was just blank. No guilt, no questioning, no worries. This feeling was everything she longed for, and she was grateful she could experience it. She sat there as long as she good, just enjoying the view. However, she knew this was just temporary, but something she would never forget.

She also came to understand that her emotions will always be complex and hard to work with. She will never truly be a wild animal again, yet she also will never be a pet again. Her journey has taken her to a different place now, and now she is part of something completely different. Maybe she will never feel connected to anything, as in both cases, as animal and pet, she gave something of herself up. Something that can't be regained. But, there are many other things she is still able to gain as an esk. And she is looking forward to these moments.

An Apology: Finally, Faniry reached the last room. This room was very mysterious and at this point she was already so exhausted and just wanted to return home. She had a feeling that the bright light in the middle of the room might be her way out, so she ran straight to it. After reaching it, she was able to see images in its light. Of course. The last thing the temple would show her is her former family. Faniry always felt like she betrayed them, for letting herself get captured so easily. Running towards a human. What kind of wild animal was she? Pathetic.

Even though these images weren't her real family, she still talked to them and told them about her life and her now being an a ghost. It felt good and freeing to be able to do this. After she had said everything there was to say, she turned away. Beginning to run. As her paws started to pick up speed, she still let out a soft apology. She didn't have to look back anymore, as she knew, her former mother faded away with a smile on her face.

Ahhhhh! I'm so happy I was still able to do a second playthrough. I wanted to do one with Faniry so bad, so glad it worked out!

Really looking forward to go through this event in the future with other esk. It's just so much fun to explore the different rooms and see how your esk would react in them!
