If they did go for the new suits, Zordon could have upgraded them into the Thunder Power Rangers as to tie them with their new zords.

As much I as loved the dinosaur suits, they stopped making sense once they gained the Thunder Zords and their ninja powers later on.

Sadly I didn't catch it, but from what I heard it's a MUCH needed return to form without retelling the Sentai story or the hackjob Megaforce did. Even got an original opening. XD

Not to mention that it features TEN rangers in this season, the biggest lineup we've seen so far, which includes a caveman, a black Pink Ranger, a knight, a royal ruler and even a bird guy.
So yeah, when you get the chance, watch it. It's not only the best season of the Neo-Saban era so far, it's one of the best seasons of the entire series.

Yep, but I don't think we're gonna see that here... Of course, you never know.
For now, it's Dino Charge, then Ninja Steel, then the reboot movie and so on. Like Doug Walker said about Scooby-Doo, it will just keep going, with tons of different variations and takes. Keep them coming, Saban.

It still is, and it once again proves that you CAN tell a good and fun story while making money in the process, see MLP, TMNT, Transformers and others for examples. Hell, I'm totally expecting Steven Universe to reference it in the new season.
Eh, I wasn't a huge fan of that. Even as a parody it didn't work, mostly because it became the thing that it was trying to make fun of, not to mention all the truly grisly NC-17 stuff that just made it even worse. But as always, to each his own.
Thankfully, the new film should fix it all up. A new team of rangers, badass suits, a creative team behind the camera, a sexy and threatening Rita and Bryan Cranston as Zordon? (Snaps his fingers) Sold.

Thing is I have a soft spot for this "experiments". I enjoyed the Mario Bros. movie just because it was interesting to see how things were reinvented.

At this point, it probably does. And when the 25th and 30th anniversaries come, we're gonna see A LOT of rangers, old and new, teaming up to fight the bad guys. Done right this time, of course.
