Description
(Took a small detour to draw some KOTM characters, will get back to Godzilla Earth soon!)
Jungle Titan
BEHEMOTH
Titan Class
Height: 100 meters
Mass: 50,000 metric tons
Bio:
Rising from a MONARCH facility built deep in the jungles of the Amazon, the mammalian kaiju BEHEMOTH, also known as “Mapinguary,” rose when Doctor Emma Russel’s MUTO PRIME experiment was unleashed upon the world with the help of the newly reformed Red Bamboo terrorist organization. Like the other Titan Class kaiju, MUTO Prime, aka JINSHIN MUSHI (the Centipede Dragon), called to Behemoth as part of the broader plan to “seed” the other Titans with Shinomura spawn and unleash them upon the world.
Taking part in the Battle of Boston, Behemoth, along with SCYLLA, METHUSELAH, and the LEGENDARY GODZILLA became embroiled in a battle royale, ending the threat of MUTO Prime, but revealing to the world that a new breed of kaiju now ruled, and yet as old as the planet itself.
Abilities/Aspects:
- Tremendous strength
- Tusks are nearly unbreakable, can plow through whole buildings
- Huge claws can carve through stone and steel
- Natural burrower
- Prehistoric seeds and pollen trapped in fur recreates ancient, radioactive plant species.
- Other abilities as yet unknown
UP NEXT: Scylla

A personal criticism is that the S.C.A.L.E. from the Zilla Jr. series as they were eco-terrorists and fit better with the ideals of the human villains of Godzilla 2.

Do you intend to redo Godzilla Neo to the more broader, muscular Kaiju in the Showa - Millenium era?

We don’t get too many mammalian kaiju nowadays , behemoth was a welcoming refresher to see. Such a neat design too, really does feel prehistoric.

Ah, so THAT'S what you meant about redoing KOTM completely. I didn't actually consider the idea of the Muto Prime being a replacement for Ghidorah in an alternate take. But based on what I know about Jinshin, it would work almost as well.......though let's face it: NOONE can ever outdo the amount of chaos Monsterverses King Ghidorah unleashed on the world. He's at least in second place for being the most evil kaiju in toho, with Grand King Ghidorah staying in first place because of what he intended to do. (Anyone who kidnaps kids just so they can boil them alive, and cook them into a Gumbo Space-soup out of a sadistic desire to kill is an epitome of evil. And given how much he enjoyed hurting, and torturing, and killing, there is no way anyone can disprove my point).
But i'm getting ahead of myself, and I want to say awesome job on improvising the KOTM story. There's an obvious, sinister tone to Muto Prime aka Junshin Mushi's plan to infest the Titans, and unleash a plague of Shinomure/Mutos on the world. I'm really eager to see how you design the titans, and their parasitic nemesis (whether you can reply to me, or not).
Still kinda makes me wonder where OUR Godzilla was during this, and where the Titans were during Final Wars, DAM, and finally Bagan's attack.

Wow, I love Behemoth, he's one of the most creative looking Kaiju of the Monsterverse, and is an interesting concept. I like that he's basically a giant ground sloth with tusks and spikes. Your interpretation with the extra tiny tusks is interesting, as is the carvings on the tusks, it reminds me of the Mammoths from Skyrim that are marked by giants. I'm guessing people in the past who may have worshiped Behemoth might have made those carvings as he slept. But if the Tusks are nearly unbreakable, how were the carved? Is the outer layer softer and thus able to allow for a shallow carving, but the solid core is what's unbreakable?
Interesting that you call the MUTO Prime "Centipede Dragon" rather than "Earthquake Beetle", I wonder if that's indicative of a more serpentine appearance when it is revealed?

It's because in Godzilla: Aftershock, the MUTO Prime was called "Jinshin Mushi".

Dinalfos5 In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2019-08-15 05:09:54 +0000 UTC]
Yes, I know that. But from what I understand, Jinshin Mushi is supposed to translate to "Earthquake Beetle", not "Centipede Dragon". Since he changed it's alias, I wonder if he's trying to imply it has a more serpentine, elongated appearance of a centipede rather than the more ape like version from the comic?

SomeKindaSpy In reply to Dinalfos5 [2019-08-15 05:43:13 +0000 UTC]
Could be just his version of it? Or a misunderstanding.

Dinalfos5 In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2019-08-15 06:18:44 +0000 UTC]
I'm thinking he gave it a new form and a new alias in order to make his Neo version unique and his own, similar to how the MUTOs are called Shinomura and the big Skull Crawler is called Chiros. I doubt it's an accident.
