Description
(If you just sh*t yourself, then I've done my jobCyborg Monster
GIGAN
Height: 60 meters
Mass: 25,000 metric tons
Type 2 - Warrior Class
Bio:
GIGAN is renowned throughout the galaxy as the pinnacle of monster elimination technology. If his younger brother MEGALON is the demolisher, GIGAN is the assassin, and he wears the title with pride.
There's no record of exactly when Gigan was built, other than that of the insectoid aliens of Nebula Space Hunter M, and even their own records are spotty at best. While the Nebulans do indeed control Gigan and send him on whatever mission of bloodshed they so deem, there is no evidence to support that they themselves created the cyborg. Gigan's inner workings and horrifically beautiful mesh of synthetic allows, circuitry and organic flesh may be just too far beyond the grasp of the somewhat technologically challenged sentient cockroaches. It has been theorized even that Gigan was a creation of a race that preceded the Nebulans, and they simply "inherited" it (if their story of their home planet is to be believed).
While the gigantic cyborg does indeed answer to the Nebulans, he does seem to have a conciousness and sentience of his own...it would almost seem as though he tolerates the Nebulans rather than being subservient to them. This is indicated by the cockroaches' tendency to act as though they control him, yet almost bend their plans around Gigan's actions.
Godzilla and Gigan share a relationship based on rivalry rather than aggression, and while the two are perfectly willing to beat each other to death, there's an air of respect that each has for the other.
Megalon isn't as smart or as efficient as his older sibling, yet Gigan seems to maintain a cool set of circuits when dealing with the simple yet effective hailstorm of destruction that Megalon rains down on whatever pitiable civilization incurs the beasts' wrath.
Though chased from Earth by Godzilla and Anguirus, Gigan returned in during Operation: Final War, upgraded and ready to carry out a new set of wicked plans...
Abilities/Aspects:
-Huge scythes made of an alloy not found on Earth, and as strong as even Godzilla's bones (able to rotate from elbow-axis)
-Cycloptic eye fires either a burst of laser-like shards or one concentrated beam of energy
-Buzzsaw in torso able to cut through buildings, and kaiju flesh, with ease
-Flight speed of Mach 1
-Grappling hooks capable of dragging prey into the whirling dervish of blades that is Gigan's form
-Returned to Earth, scythes were replaced by twin chainsaws on each arm
-"Wings" can contort and expand for excellent ariel balance

I would love to see your rendition of Krollar, Triax and Rhian; they could be older models of weapons made by the same species that made Gigan and Megalon

I have a challenge for you Mr Frank, i would love to see a 'Proto' Gigan. Proto gigan would be the Kaiju that would eventually become gigan after being subject to cyberisation.Β

I LOVE this, but I would have prefered to see at least some organics on him, because otherwise he just looks like a robot.
Also more green. More green would be good. And some yellow. And maybe less blue.
Fine I just want classic Gigan.

You know looking at this picture (which is great by the way) two thoughts entered my head.
1. Wow cool rendition. Totally looks badass
2. Wait.... isn't that the monster that decapitated itself fighting a moth?

I was pretty critical of Gigan and Megalon for a while, but over the years after I've had time to get over the initial shock and really appreciate them as part of the ensemble... I dig it!
Gigan and Megalon are part of a villainous duo and should absolutely be together whenever possible. Giving them both similar surface looks, but a "hot and cold" color scheme was a good move.
I don't even feel like Gigan is trying too hard to impress. Gigan is basically the Reaper of Godzilla. He's the flashy, brutal, egotistical asshole who thinks he's the scariest fucker in the universe, then gets utterly thrashed by the heroes.
I do miss Megalon's old big, menacing mandibles, but all in all, I've come to really enjoy this take on the two of them.

I like the overall design but I do miss the yellow and green Gigan from some video games, made him look like it were possible to have an organic kaiju with a rotating saw in his gut. Hehe..

I like the concept of Gigan being kind of an evil mastermind in his own way. Sure, you don't mess with the Ghidrah the King of Terror when it comes down to evil, but your writing makes it seem as if Gigan could hold his own movie alongside Megalon.
I think that they'd do well for a Godzilla 3 (Since the 2nd movie's going to feature Ghidorah), as long as they keep it to two monsters and show some focus on how they act as they "work" together.

Godzilla 2 has already been confirmed to have Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah. And why would you only want two? More Kaiju means more action!

Is it just me, or were giant, reptilian/alien chickens popular in the 60's and 70's? First there was the creature from "The X from Outer Space", then "Gappa the Triphibian Monster", and finally Gigan.
