Description
Ultimate Lifeform
SHIN GODZILLA
Height: 120 meters (max)
Mass: 70,000 metric tons (max)
Bio:
In the summer of 2016, a civilian pleasure boat, rented under the name of Professor Goro Maki, as well as his shoes and personal effects, were discovered floating in Tokyo Bay. Evidence of a suicide were initially reported. The boat was at the center of the bay, and a source of interest as the government investigated the point of origin from a new nightmare rising from the waters around Japan.
For decades, tensions brewed in North America over the possibility of kaiju attacks on their home soil. Thankfully, any incidents were few and far between, and could reliably be handled by the United States’ obscenely well-funded military. It wasn’t until the Crystal Incursion of 2007 that even under the auspices of the EDF, America tasted the true threat of a Type 2 kaiju assault under a Level 3 Extinction Event. The US Government began looking in to more pre-emptive directives to protect themselves and their own territory.
After all, while Japan tinkered with its robots and put its faith in pagan god-monsters, the USA could surely pump more resources into creating a super-weapon both unstoppable and controllable.
I mean...we did it before...Didn’t we?
The creature rose from the water, steam rising from its superheated hide, and spilling liquids from various orifices that scalded flesh and corroded steel. Flopping around in violent conflict with an alien environment, the life form quickly began adapting to its new surroundings. The JSDF was quick to intercept but the animal escaped.
With the recent discovery of Gojirasaurus prodigious making itself known to the world, and now this new creature, which shockingly resembled Godzilla as well, the government of Japan convened an emergency meeting to propose new anti-kaiju efforts. A new team, lead by young and ambitious politician Rando Yaguchi, dedicated themselves to unraveling this new threat while G-Force searched for this “new Godzilla.”
It was about this time that Yaguchi’s team recovered Maki’s notes. After losing his wife to radiation sickness in a badly botched nuclear accident, Maki left Japan to work for the Americans. Eventually, his brilliance in genetic engineering was put to use on “Project G.” The prevailing wisdom of the US government was that, since the kaiju threat was still very real and could not be curtailed by anything but OTHER kaiju, the US might as well make kaiju themselves. Controllable kaiju.
It was a ludicrous idea, but Maki threw himself into his work. It was only when he finally saw the growing embryonic creature that he realized what he was about to unleash on the world.
Through no small amount of careful planning, Maki fled with the football-sized embryo, as well as much evidence as he could muster, to Japan, hoping to give it to G-Force.
Unfortunately, Maki knew he was being followed. Anticipating the end, Maki cursed his existence, cursed both the country that took his wife and the country that sought to take his own. So he released the containment unit, and dumped it into the bay. When the assassins arrived to take his life and the evidence, it was nowhere to be found, so Maki was murdered. The assassins made the scene to look like a suicide, but couldn’t find Maki’s notes before the kaiju erupted from the bay! The ship was nearly capsized, and the assassins fled.
What happened next was well-documented. The creature, nicknamed SHIN GODZILLA, rose once again from the sea in a new and terrifying form. Cutting its way across Japan, the full might of G-Force, still at a loss for Mecha after the Crystal Incursion, couldn’t put a dent in the thing. Eventually, the monster WAS stopped by the combined efforts of an international coalition spearheaded by Yaguchi dubbed “Operation Yashiori.”
Shin Godzilla was defeated by repeat injections of a compound designed to freeze its body. The compound was only discovered after Maki’s notes revealed the monster’s genetic code, indicating an advanced ability to evolve in response to its environment.
The freezing compound was only a temporary solution. It could not kill the creature, and the US government, eager to cover their tracks, were perfectly willing to destroy most of Tokyo to ensure the beast’s annihilation. After a tremendous loss of life and massive destruction to Tokyo not seen since the battle between Godzilla II and Destoroyah, the Japanese government remained steadfast in its insistence that Shin Godzilla was contained.
The monster’s frozen body was immediately set upon by a massive effort to cut it apart and keep every individual piece in a consistently frozen state. If the Yashiori compound even slightly wavered in its dosage, the individual pieces could begin to grow and regenerate into new Shin Godzillas. Inspection of the body had already revealed slowly growing smaller creatures each about 10 meters, indicating that Shin Godzilla was already evolving a counter-measure to the freezing agent in the form of smaller offspring that could be potentially immune to it. These bodies were also cut apart and distributed to various storage facilities and warehouses across the country and even the world for constant supervision...
Abilities/Aspects:
- Is able to fire a concentrated atomic heat beam from the mouth, but requires time to supercharge to full power.
- Constantly evolving, Shin Godzilla is potentially the most dangerous creature on the planet and if given the chance, could supplant humanity easily, and even give the other kaiju a run for their money.
- Extreme regeneration
- Genetic code still evolving, the Yashiori compound must be constantly tweaked in order to keep the remains dormant.
- The hide is initially soft and vulnerable, but quickly hardens in subsequent forms.
- Any pieces larger than a few tons that are blown off the monster can immediately begin growing into a new creature.

Jesus Christ that's horrifyingly awesome XD just wow...multiple eyes, the several jaw like structures around the tip of the tail, the first stage doesn't look as derpy but more...unsettling... also the addition of it being a U.S. made personal Kaiju weapon project to combat Kaiju that went south pretty damn fast was also pretty cool.

Also like how the dorsal spikes are very straight & pointy as it more fitting & would make his back lasers attack more effective.

if I may make a suggestion for the design of the Neo skull crawlers I think maybe they should look a bit crocodilian as they live alongside the legendary Godzilla in this verse where as in the monsterverse the evolved much later from the ancestors of Mosasaurus. Shin looks amazing and the origin is quite fitting and I think would perfectly suit his movie counterpart aswell.

So does Shin Godzilla and Legendary Godzilla exist in the same universe of the main Godzilla as separate beings? I always liked the idea of Shin Godzilla being a separate monster from the traditional Godzilla. Cool art as well dude, I just noticed that Shin Godzilla has tiny arms ON his tiny arms. I also like your concept for Shin Godzilla before his mutation.
I'm also curious about your take on the Son of Kong, will it be a combination of the Son of Kong from the movie and Monsterverse Kong? that would be interesting. I know from the timeline that we have Godzilla Earth, Skullcrawlers, Trilopods and Magita but I some ideas for some other kaiju that could appear next in Godzilla Neo...
MechaGodzilla from the anime series: Seeing as we are getting Godzilla Earth and we have all the previous MechaGodzillas as well, I think it would be cool to see your take on the anime MechaGodzilla.
Millennian from Godzilla 2000: This appears as Orga's first form before he absorbs Godzilla's DNA but also the alien species that also somewhat created Orga, I would imagine them to look like its movie counterpart and it would be cool to see your take this alien.
Death Ghidorah (aka DesGhidorah) from Rebirth of Mothra: I really liked the design of this kaiju but I do agree with your opnion on his official name as DesGhidorah does sound stupid, which why I'm using Death Ghidorah as it sounds much cooler. I also have an idea for the origins of this kaiju and that could be that he is the resurrected spirit of King Ghidorah maybe if Mecha-King Ghidorah is destroyed (how exactly I'm not sure, maybe by Bagan). I know you said you used Garu Garu as a fusion with Death Ghidorah but I think the idea could work as a demonic undead form of a vengeful King Ghidorah. Or it could be a more powerful form of Death GaruGaru where he gains access to some of King Ghidorah's DNA. To make its design more different from Death GaurGaru and its movie counterpart, you could use primaly its Flying form while possibly incorporate from aspects of the movie version of Keizer Ghidorah, Creatuous King Ghidorah from Rebirth of Mothra 3, the Power Dragon from The Godzilla Power Hour as well as some skeletal dragons.
Oodako from King Kong VS Godzilla: Now it would be cool get this guy some awesome art but I do have an idea for his design maybe incorporate or fuse its original design with that of similar kaiju from other Godzilla related media, some ideas examples being the Giant Squid from The Godzilla Power Hour, Mutant Giant Squids from Godzilla: The Series and the Mire Squid from Kong: Skull Island. Another idea for its design could be to incorporate that of the real life Blue Ring Octopus.
Daigoro from Dairgoro VS Goliath: Apparently from what I have research, the movie was a co-op movie between Toho and Tsuburaya Productions and Toho distribute the movie, meaning in a way, they are Toho Kaiju. It was also suppose to be a Godzilla movie originally, Godzilla VS Redmoon. I think with Daigoro's design, it could incorpote its movie design, some expects of the scrapped consepcted monster Hafun, maybe Red King from Ultraman and likely some escpects from a real life Hippo and dinosaurs.
Goliath from Daigoro VS Goliath: Daigoro's movie opponent, he is quite an interesting creature and it would be awesome to see him in Godzilla Neo. In terms of the his designs, you could use aspects of both his movie appreance and his original concept as Red Moon.
Erabus (AKA Daigoro's Mother from Daigoro VS Goliath): The name comes from her original character as Erabus from the scrapped Daigoro VS Goliath as in the movie she has no defined name, kinda of combined a official monster with a scrapped one. Its kinda like how you did it with Deutolios and the giant rats from Godzilla:The Series. In terms of design, you could use aspects of her movie. her concept art as Erabus and aspects of Red King as I think they actually used a Red King suit to create her in the movie.
Maguma from Gorath: This guy never gets much attention as kaiju so I feel this would be a cool way to give him some love. In terms of his design, I would imagine him to look similar to the sketch book design you did further back. If not, then you use his movie design whilst combining elements from a real Walrus and maybe even some reptilian features.
Dogora from Dogora: Another obscure kaiju that could use with some love. In terms of its design maybe incorporate some aspects of some species of jellyfish his original movie design whislt maybe giving him a glowing neon affect.
Gojirin from Godzilland OVA: I've also fought it could be interesting for Godzilla to have a female counterpart who is a member of his species and we sort of got that with Gojirin. It would be cool to give a sort of redesign to make her how she would appear as an adult and how she would appear in a Godzilla movie. I would say having her skin be lighter in tone to Godzilla's, her dorsal spines could be slightly heart shaped and have some pink highlights on them. Her body type could be thinner than Godzilla's and obviously have some more feminine features. I could image her eyes being reddish pink and having marings around her eyes that are akin to the make-up in her OVA appearance.
