Description
Reptile MonsterZILLA
HEIGHT: 50 meters
MASS: 15,000 metric tons
BIO:
In the bleary summer of 1998, thunderous footsteps shook the streets of New York City, and a shrieking roar shattered windows. Buildings were smashed, landmarks pulverized, fish trucks....eaten?
Headlines blared "GODZILLA TAKES A BITE OUT OF THE BIG APPLE!," "KING OF THE MONSTERS IN NYC!," and vendors lined the streets selling shirts declaring "Godzilla Was Here!" and photographs were taken in the massive footprints left in the monster's wake.
Of course, within days, it was all too obvious that Godzilla had NOT attacked New York, had NOT dug tunnels throughout the city, laid 100 eggs in Madison Square Garden, or died from 6 Tomahawk missles on the Brooklyn Bridge. It was instead a beast later known as "Zilla," or "Godzilla In Name Only" by the Kaiju Zoological and Enthusiast community, had chosen the metropolis as a place to lay its eggs and find food (WHY is subject to question). Despite the fact that the King of the Monsters had NOT died at the hands of the US Airforce, they sure liked to believe he did, and the announcements to the contrary were severely downplayed in the media.
Regardless, Biologist Nick Tatopolous knew that there was a very, VERY good chance that not all of the creature's eggs were destroyed in the blast that obliterated the nest. Leading a small search party, Nick discovered a lone egg. Hatching and imprinting on the scientist, "Zilla Jr," as it came to be nicknamed, began to follow Nick with incredible loyalty and intelligence, proving itself to be not only an efficient and agile fighter, but a benevolent kaiju at that.
The real question remained, however, as to where the original came from. That answer came in the form of Phillip Roche, and his protege', Monique Dupre. Part of a French Special Forces sector, the two were charged by their superiors to "clean up a mess" left from a series of experiments conducted in French Polynesia, were 5 "G-Cell Mutations" had escaped after a catastrophic accident (it is believed that S.C.A.L.E., a pro-kaiju rights organization/eco terrorist cell, was involved in these events). Nick Tatopolous, forming the H.E.A.T. team, hunted down all the remaining mutations, with Zilla's help, of course.
After a particularly traumatic event in Alaska, Zilla was later taken to Monster Island, where he would spend the remainder of his life...MOST of it, anyway...
ABILITIES/ASPECTS:
- Can run at 200 MPH
- Burrowing ability rivals Baragon's
- Can spit radiation-charged fire
- Very light healing factor
- Razor-whip tail
- Agility makes up for lack of resistance to heavy weapon fire

Nice work. I would love to see Zilla Jr. and Godzilla either battle it out or team up. And I think Zilla Jr. will win. Espcially if it is an underwater fight. Lets face it Godzilla is to fat to actually swim. He just walks on the ocean floor.

No but I do know Zilla and Godzilla fought it out in a recent movie. And it was way to quick.

Yeah the movie was Final Wars. I was mad at how quick it was. But in G2K and GMK (and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus which I forgot) Godzilla swims a few times and he's just as fast as Zilla.

Me neither haha. But Godzilla and GMK are on TV sometimes, so you should try to catch them sometime.

Yeah, I caught Godzilla 2000 on TV some 3 weeks ago and my little sister found GMK on just 4 months ago. And also, the American remake is on constantly. You see Godzilla and then you think "Cool!" but then you see 1998 as the year and it's like "Aw, crap!"

It was a one-sided fight to begin with, but it would have been nice to be longer.

I call the original one "Zilla", but his son on the other hand is the one I call a Godzilla. After seeing the series, that one has without a doubt proven himself worthy of the title "God"zilla.

Im honestly surprised I never added this to my favorites...Zilla/Zilla Junior are my favorite monsters. Grew up to them actually. I was 6 when Godzilla 1998 and the series came out. All I know is if they confirm a new godzilla game and DONT add Zilla or Zilla Jr (it would likely be the latter since he has powers) I'm starting a petition T_T

you guys dont get it do you? if godzilla is stronger the reason why we dont care well zilla fans cant explain but i can! thats like saying you want me to like power puff girls better than spider man! because there stronger! it depends if the character is not too random being too strong and the good guys winning so easily is too boring and its too random! or if its too girly! or somehow weird! now you guys know why we like zilla better!

So, you believe that Zilla as well as other monsters from his series were mutated from Godzilla-Cells? That would make some sort of sense. In the movie and the series he did sound like Godzilla and in the series he did have Godzilla's powers.

I'm glad to see him in the Neo series.
To me, this guy deserves a better name than GINO. Even just "Zilla" seems a little insulting. I just started calling the American Godzilla "Dino-zilla" anyway.

I like Zilla. Always did, I never really thought of him being in competition with the original. He's well designed, and the series did Zilla, Jr. some good, methinks. Also, Cyber-Zilla was a great reference to Mecha-Godzilla.

this whole thing is stupid. when they first made that shitty movie this was completely intended to be godzilla. thats y the damn movie was called GODZILLA. the only reason the whole "zilla" nonsense came about is bc of how many people hated that movie. they just did it to save face and to keep from losing fans. however in all irony i like zilla lol

I just got a copy of Godzilla Final War were these alians brain wash all the earths monsters except godzilla . Godzilla is released to counter the threat and the alians first send Zilla to fight him. I liked that part because it was like the clash of Godzillas with the clasic Godzilla showing him who's the real king of the monsters.

I like the USA godzilla but what the hell is everyones deal sure it may not be the regular godzilla but there is no reason for this creature too be hated so much besides when a new monster is added to the godzilla universe it should probably be respected not ridiculed. Besides I like the design for americas king of the monsters

Huh...
Wasn't Zilla Jr. actually deemed an official Godzilla because of his intelligence and atomic breath?
I mean, I know his father was considered just a big animal by the japanese, but wasn't Jr. able to make it by Toho's standards?
Just asking.
