That's because that sound was recycled from Mothra herself when the baby Metroid died.Β Even Titanosaurus' roar was used when Phantoon and Crocomire are killed.

I haven't seen Baragon yet and I think the reason Titanosaurus comes off as the creepiest is because I watched my brother play Super Metriod years and years before I got into Godzilla.

Barugon is from the Gamera series.Β He was the first monster Gamera fought and he's creepy especially with his freezing ability.

Another excellent cover for an epic series. And personally, while I like Battra a whole lot, even I thing he is a monumental prick in this universe. Hopefully we will learn his motives other than helping the psychic twins to cause havoc.
