Zilla jr is a good opponent, but he'd still loose to Godzilla.
"faster and sharper claws" mean nothing to your foe if he's extremely durable. Plus, Godzilla has faced enemies that are faster(Megagiurus,Mothra) and have sharper claws(Gigan) than Zilla and has always managed to come on top.
Godzillla's atomic breath has the incredible strength and accuracy to hit a meteor entering Earth's atmosphere at insane speeds. I don't see Jr's breath doing that

Epic fail, even Zilla's teeth and claws would rip through Godzilla's skin, those claws tore down a 500 m tall skyscraper, did Gigan do that.
Zilla jr is more agile than Megaguirus, cause the Insect
flies and the Lizard walks.
Zilla jr's tail managed to throw skeetra away for 150 meters.
One tail slash would knock Godzilla 50 meters away.
Godzilla's tail whip is as strong as Zilla's.
So Zilla has more advantages and he wins 60/40.
Toho only makes Godzilla that strong cause they want to make him look perfect, Toho sucks and Godzilla isn't that strong.

Godzilla is immune to missiles. Zilla can be killed by missiles. Godzilla was never killed totally. Zilla was wounded by getting stuck in a bridge. Godzilla has taken down time vortexes, civilization destroyers, etc. Zilla is faced with problems in every episode of his damn tv show. Godzilla could probably rape Zilla by roaring. First off, no need to be an asshole.
2nd, a feat of pretty much ALL giant monsters is that they can take down large buildings and skyscrapers. So Jr taking down a measly building doesn't prove much.(and yes,Gigan has taken down such structures before).
I don't see how walking and flying could make a difference in how agile/quick something is. Fact of the matter is that both are pretty quick/agile, so Zilla's "faster" speed won't surprise or even phase Godzilla.
Oh and once again, durability. Does Skeetra have the same caliber of defense that Godzilla has? If so, then sure maybe Zilla could send Godzilla 50 meters away or whatever. If not well...it would still hurt but not really send Godzilla flying
Toho makes Godzilla strong only because, truth be told, the monster he fights are STRONGER than him. Without that strength and defense, monsters like Ghidorah, Destroyah, Orga, etc. would wipe the floor with Godzilla. (And factors like plot, being the main character, etc.)
Again, no need to be an childish douchebag. Of course, Im not saying that Godzilla is a super and Zilla has no chance of beating him, I'm just throwing in my opinion that, while it'd be an entertaining fight, chances are that Godzilla will still come on top.

Also on the Toho thing, well put yourself in their shoes: How would you feel if someone came up to you and wanted to make a movie adaptation of a character you made, and their saying all the stuff like "oh, it'll be our adaptation, but we promise we'll be 100% faithful to your character, no bullshit this WILL be the American Godzilla"
So you're like "okay, I'll give them a chance, if they stay faithful to my character this could be a good movie"
And when the movie finally releases, instead of getting that "faithful adaptation" they promised you, you see something totally different far from the spirit of your character. That's basically what happened to Toho. They kinda have every right to be alittle irritated.
On the bright side, while they don't like ZILLA, they love ZILLA JR for being similar to the original. Toho personally thinks that Jr is worthy of the name GODZILLA.

I still say it's not going to be Godzilla Jr. nor Godzilla (1998), it's simply going to be the Zilla character created in 2004, by the comic creature's choosen name to judge. I bet you won't find a trace after anything linking the IDW Zilla to Godzilla (1998) nor Godzilla Jr. (1998-2000) and their universe. I'd say the IDW Zilla exists in a different universe. Anyway, questions might be answered in the comic, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Also, I find it rather ridiculous arguing about who will win or lose between two completely fictious creatures. You can't really argue about something like that, since the outcome is a result of how the creator of the fight wants it to go and end, you'll just have to wait and discover Matt's interpretation of a fight.

I don't think it would be wise to judge which character it is just because of the colors. Those typical colors are a characteristic feature among all American Godzillas. The IDW Zilla is most likely Zilla (2004) and not Godzilla Jr. '98 nor Godzilla '98. The comic-creature's name reveals it. Godzilla Jr. (Zilla Jr. if you will) had its run between the years 1998, 1999 and 2000. I doubt he will return in the near future in any Godzilla-kind of media.
P.S. Just ignore Kaiju-Human. This is just an advice, he's not a good person. You should stay away from him, but it's your choice.
