It was a great movie, I can agree. The connection between the original Godzilla and Kiryu really gave the movie this uniqueness that made you wonder "who's side is he on?" so you're always on edge to what can happen next!

Tokyo S.O.S was good also but the only complaint I had was that even though Kiryu still had his connection it was still a little less seen it was mostly about a showdown between mothra and Godzilla though I usually don't complain because I love it's when Godzilla puts the beating on that moth though I agree she's okay Godzilla is the true earth guardian but I digress both movies we're amazing and had depth it was one of toho's finest

I do agree that the original was better. I'm not sure I would say that S.O.S. was a battle between Mothra and Godzilla (since they only really battled for a couple minutes at best) but I do agree that she took away from Kiryu, but she also gave to him as well. The Shobijin were a nice touch with the whole "return Godzilla's bones to the sea or else" thing and the twin Mothra Larva were also kind of cool to see getting the tar beaten out of them! What I didn't like was that they actually managed to cocoon Godzilla, which made no sense. I like how Godzilla was constantly taking out Kiryu, showing that he was indeed the king. So, all-in-all, it was a nice movie, but not my favorite!

True about the cocoon thing when I saw that I was like "come on bro you're better than that" and yea the tiny girls we're cool I always thought how they summoned mothra (or in this case her children) sound amazing and I phrases it wrong but mainly the whole thing was a kinda fight between mothra and kin with some help from him

I personally get (got) quite annoyed by their damn singing in the Showa and Heisei but I think they did a good job in S.O.S. (which is saying something because I NEVER give compliments to the Shibijin!)

Same because they remind me of hippies lol but I liked it in S.O.S it seemed nice but i laughed my ass off at their surprised voices "they're twins!" But anyways i enjoy kiryu destroyah biollante titanosaurus and new look gigan

They're singing is just so damn annoying! Hell, I used to drive my friends made by playing the song and trying to find ways to keep it running no matter how many times he tried to x-out of the window! It was hilarious, yet painful! Still, I actually like the S.O.S. version for some reason. Maybe it's just because the actors were cute, who knows? The "They're twins!" gasp was pretty funny and when I watched that movie by myself I made tones of commentary about it. Good stuff, good stuff. Kiryu is definitely my favorite Mechagodzilla to date, even if he probably did the worst out of all of them. Since he sank himself with ol' Goji at the end of S.O.S., I doubt he'll be hitting the big screens any time soon. Destroyah is the living incarnation of death itself so he just has to exist to be a badass... and since death cannot be cheated, HE'S ALWAYS THERE! He'll sadly most likely never get air time again though. Biollante was a cool FEMALE monster, one that came from a contest apparently. The idea of a mutant rose that has the cells of Godzilla and the soul of a deceased girl sounds stupid, especially when you first watch the film, but it becomes kind of a nice storyline by the end. All-in-all, good monster, but will probably never show up again. Titanosaurus was a cool monster from the start, original yet a little low on uniqueness, since all he really did was swim, box, and blow tornadoes with his tail. Oh, and he also hated radio frequencies! He was a good fight though so I guess that makes up for it, along with the beam he was given in G Unleashed! Still, he hasn't been seen for a good 40+ years, I doubt he'll ever see air time again without replays. Gigan is the living incarnation of blades... and badass! He was awesome ever as a giant cybernetic space chicken in the Showa! Now he's a titan that strikes fear into all... except for Godzilla, of course! We'll probably get to see more of Gigan if the franchise goes on, he's just too good to not reuse! So yeah, there's my commentary! I can say a lot more because I'm an expert in this field but I'll leave you with that.

Indeed. You really need to have something special to get reused by Toho, though I'm not really sure what it is. I think being an Alien helps, since they seem to show up a lot. Earth Defenders never go away, but they don't always get that much air time... except for Godzilla and Mothra of course! Rodan's a close second too. JSDF mechs and Mutants get the bad end of the stick. They often go up in smoke after just a single film and almost cease to exist afterwards. It's a very complicated agenda.

love it reminds me of the film MechaGodzilla always seemed to be that bit more powerful than Godzilla and i think this picture shows that well while keeping Godzilla's powerful and fearless image great work.
