THE VALLEY -
One of the more approachable areas on the otherwise hazardous Monster Island, the Valley of Sector Alpha is home to the gigantic ankylosaurid, Anguirus. The herbivorous kaiju is perhaps the most tolerant of human researches, so much that Miki Saegusa herself, during one of her frequent stay-overs at the island, has climbed onto his back and simply observed the kaiju lightly napping in his den.
The tall, rocky spires of the Valley have become even more characteristically precarious due to Anguirus's activities, mostly due to his spikes carving away the stone bases, as well as his natural instinct to dig and shuffle the earth about (though he is not an active burrower like Zilla or Baragon).

Anguirus will frequently venture into the nearby jungles beneath the Roost (the mighty Rodan's home) to graze on the lush vegetation, but the force fields activate whenever he decides to leave the shoreside. The spiked quadruped can laze about in the shallow water all he wants, but not beyond 500 meters.
Perimeter force fields prevent Anguirus from leaving Sector Alpha and starting fights with the other kaiju residents, but, like all of the containment systems on the island, nothing is guaranteed. For the record, Anguirus could easily tear the base of the force fields apart...perhaps he just likes it here?
