I HAVE A HUGE COMPLAIN ABOUT PACIFIC RIM!!! Mako and Raileigh should have kissed at the end AND ALL OF YOU KNOW IT!!! out of that the most epic and awesome film i've seen in the last couple of year

To me that was one of the strongest points. It technically is the most over used cliche of all time in approximately 94.8889% of the movies. Ok I'm guessing, but it is in most the movies and almost all of them. It is almost required in movies like it is required to have a camera.

Why kissing? Every single film nowadays is stuck with mandatory kissing. Raleigh and Mako aren't "lovers"; they form a friendship so close they become siblings in their own right.
Raleigh loses his brother, but finds a sister. Mako loses her family, but finds a new one in the Shatterdome.
Heck, not even the Kaidanovsky's kissed, and they're the only legitimately seen couple in the film.

The Japanese aren't quite as hot on kissing as us, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a clause in Ms. Kikuchi's contract regarding this.

Honestly I liked it that they didn't. It felt like Raleigh lost his brother, but in doing so found a "sister" along the way.

That was Del Tora's plan all along. It's up to the viewer to decide if they are lovers, teacher and student, or just friends who see each other as like siblings.

Man how awesome would it be if they let the Colossal Kaiju Combat team put in all the Pacific Rim mechs and kaijus that would be the hypest shit ever im talking Solomon vs Knife head or Mecha Baz vs Slattern sadly that wont be the case because Pacific Rim have their own fighting game coming up i guess one can only dream what a shame.
