Description Sabertoothes? Sabertooths? Saberteeth? Whatever.

The Sabers are one of the more interesting aspect of Dinosaucers, as they are space pirates that are apparently so difficult to defeat that the Dinosaucers and Tyrannos are perfectly willing to throw their hostility aside without a second thought in order to drive them off-planet.

Captain Sabertooth, the one that doesn't have a hat, is...the captain. He's obsessed with riches and booty and whatnot and has little tact or strategy. The Sabers are apparently so used to victory that it's perfectly reasonable to just storm around crowded city streets and take stuff.

Smilin' Don (WHY?) is the short, stumpy, slightly more comic of the comic relief duo. To an annoying degree. To be honest, I forgot which one was the captain while drawing these, and drew Don specifically with the captain notion in mind, since HE has the hat! Hm. Maybe hats aren't such a status symbol to Space Smilodon Pirates. In Space.

I hate to say it, but DinoSaucers wasn't the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the pic. Have you ever seen Joji Manabe's Outlanders?
I thought of the space-pirate Giobaldi when I saw your sabertoothed warriors.

Great work Matt. Glad to have met you at G-FEST. On a more interesting note,I think Michael Dorn should play voice actor for Captain Sabretooth. I think either Ice T or Ice Cube could be voice actor for Smilin Don.

Smilin' Don looks more like some kinde of grizzeled old bounty-hunter than a pirate, also the Captain's armor makes him look like some kind of military (solder or officer )

Let's not forget Frank Parr. He did excellent character drawings of Dinosaucers,Tyrannos,Sabretooths plus other characters from Dinosaucers,which I poster here in my Tyrannosaur 1984 DeviantArt Gallery. Those woud found posted in the very beginning or very earliest posting of artworks here I got to admit,the reference pics I have given to Matt and Ray Fromme as useful reference were printed copies of Dinsaucers character pics Frank Parr/Kaijuverse drawn for me as art commissions some years ago. Lean.muscular and not goofy looking. Note to Frank Parr. Thank you sir!

Oh, Awesome picture. Well they look pretty cool. 'Don looks kind of Western instead of just a pirate. But yeah, looking at the 2 of them, it's kind of Obvious that the one dressed like a King is the leader over the one with the big hat. Those are some pretty bad ass looking swords too.
