"Every generation has a legend. Every journey has a first step. Every saga has a beginning."
- This is the tagline of The Phantom Menace from 1999. It is a very flawed film (to be perfectly honest, isn't every film ever made flawed in one way or another?) and just like how Star Wars as a whole took very huge inspiration from films like The Hidden Fortress from 1958 and many other films that are just like/unlike that same one, Gojira from 1954 also had its own beginning as the start of a saga. It's also a first step in this ongoing journey that the monster king finds himself on to this very day. And Nakajima was a legend to the very first generation and he's still a legend to this very day. He is now one with the force and It is also one with him. May the force be with you, Haruo.Β Thank you for your contributions to the art of cinema and for being a very large part of its very long and extensive history. I might not have gotten the chance to meet you in person within this mortal realm we call "earth" but I feel like that I already have through the films I have seen that you were in. I'm very thankful and kindly honored just for that. thank you, Nakajima. you may be gone, but just like banno, you will not be forgotten.
Because of the star wars references that I'veΒ made so far, I would really love it if someone out there would do an edit of this scene from the climax of return of the jedi, I now picture this scene with the spirits of Nakajima and Banno in place of skywalker and Kenobi. Luke is the one who represents all of us the moment he looks back at his father and old master (both full of life and happinessΒ even in the afterlife):

Others may go on to wear the suit, but that's all they'll be in the end, people in rubber suits.
Nakajima Haruo was, and will always be, the one true King of Monsters, and now the throne shall lay bear until the end of time.

Anyone can get in a monster suit and portray a monster. But Haruo....when he got in that suit....He was the Monster, and we Loved it. He terrified us,He excited us, He made us laugh, but most importantly. He Inspired us! He inspired a new generation of actors and actresses for a new method of filming. He was, the real King of the Monsters, He was GodzillaΒ

And that is why his influence will allow us to be more than just *a* monster; we have the potential to be *the* monster if we push for it.

Would it be appropriate if I said Haruo Nakajima was the real King of the Monsters?
