I have really wanted to do a big group pic lately. And I wanted to see what these lionesses all looked like together. And I had a 12 hour shift at work today, so I thought I would give it a go! I am really happy with how wveryone looks except Mairu.

Here are my versions of the outlanders in Zira's pride in TLK2. These lionesses were created when I was 15, which was 17 years ago!

From left to right.

Toni : A little older than Kiara at this age. Is currently pregnant (very early stages) with Jai and Ciara. Didn't like Zira or her plans to kill Simba and rule the Pridelands. She felt trapped since Zira would threaten anyone who didn't go along with her plans. Toni was never a strong fighter, so she would get picked on by Zira. Also Zira believed Toni was "too pretty" and would force Toni to rub mud on her fur and face (and sometimes it wasn't mud). She was all too glad when Zira's plan failed and she went to live under Simba's rule in the Pridelands.

Sanu: "Dotty" to some. Around Zira's age. Strong and tough. Rough to talk to. She is focused and ready for the battle, she supported Zira in the way that she wanted a better life for herself and her friends (Omaru and Tikana), she wanted the resources the Pridelands had and was willing to go through a battle to get it. She was glad that the battle ended with no lives taken, and she got what she wanted in the end (stability and a nicer place to live), plus no angry woman yelling at her all the time. Sanu remained rough, even after living with Simba's Pride and is still a little prickly to talk to, but later adopted baby Dark and had 2 cubs of her own, Zula and Zuna. Motherhood softened her a little and she allowed herself to smile.

Omaru: Zira's "right hand lady", Zira's favorite. Omaru was willing to do whatever it took to impress Zira. Omaru believed she might take over one day if something happened to Zira. Omaru is quick to anger and panic. Friends with Sanu and (adult) Vitani. After the battle, she went with Simba's Pride because she felt she had no other choice. With her former leader dead, she realized she probably wouldn't be fit to be a leader and maybe a slower paced life would be better. She still remained "rough around the edges" and didn't always like listening to Simba's orders. She was traumatized by what happened during the fight with the Black Pride (in my TLK3 fanfiction) and became prejudice against baby Dark (in TLK4 fanfiction) because he looked like the Black Pride leader. Omaru meets her end when she is attacked by a Black Pride lioness (in TLK4).

Jika: "Sly-eye" to some. Older than Zira. Very strong and tough. Doesn't want to talk to you, just wants to get the job done. Her only friend was (adult) Vitani. She loves to fight and is good at it. She has scars on her body and one across her nose. She would be Zira's "right hand" except she doesn't kiss a$$, and she doesn't care about that kind of stuff. Jika went along with Zira's plan because she loves fighting and wanted to get some blood shed. When Zira's plan failed, she, like Omaru, went along with the others because she didn't know what else to do, and the idea of living peacefully in the Pridelands was the end goal anyway. She would miss the fighting, though.

Tikana: A tough lady, like the others. Quiet, kept her head down, but did as she was told. She supported Zira, mostly out of fear, but like the others, wanted a better life and wanted to fall in love and have cubs one day. After the battle with the Pridelanders, she was more than happy to join Simba's Pride and live in peace. She made a best friend out of one of the Pridelanders, Tamani, and later had a cub (Taeliss) at the same time as Tamani. The two best friends fell in love and raised their cubs together.

Tima: A little older than Kiara (older than Toni). Still young and hyper. Loves to talk. Gets reprimanded by Zira a lot for talking. Follows Zira's orders and plans out of fear, mostly, but also has a drive to impress Zira. She was excited for the battle with the Pridelanders to test her skill and training, which she excelled in. Tima was glad to join Simba's Pride at the end of the battle, cuz now she had new friends to talk to! Tima is killed in my TLK4 fanfiction by a Black Pride lion.

Mairu: Mufasa and Sarabi's age. Not a fighter. She would rather heal. She was manipulated by Zira to join her Pride to fight. Like several of the others, she feared the repercussions of disobeying Zira, so she did as she was told. She absolutely did not want to fight the Pridelanders. She hated hurting others and also was beginning to feel like an elder at her age, so fighting wasn't good for her body. She was very happy to join Simba's Pride so she could relax and practice healing. She became the Pride's healer after Rafiki retired.

As you can see, if you read all that... (which I bet only 2 of you did... hehe) the biggest Zira supporters are in the middle. The two at the ends would rather not be there.
